  Whats your story?

Hi

Ive been in affiliate marketing for 5 months with a couple of sites and a fair amount of PPC. Finding the rewards are virtually nothing despite driving 100s of targeted, pre qualified clicks to merchants sites.
I've always been a driven person but its beginning to take the mick. Never suffered from depression in my life. Also, paranoid about how you can earn no commission from 300+ clicks to a very specific product.

Would be really grateful to hear an inspirational story from anyone who has stuck it out
and got something back from their hard work?

Jim

Are you offering the cheapest price on the product? or is it unique to that merchant?

That was from 2005. Is it a case of the "glory days" are over or are these still being achieved regularly.

  Re: Whats your story?

A lot of affiliates overclaim their earnings.. a quick check of their accounts at companies house quite often reveals the truth.

PPC is much harder to make money in than it used to be, Apart from a test around last xmas we packed in PPC about 18 months ago as there were just too many people blasting silly money at it..

It's definitely not what it used to be, but there's still money to be made as a finance affiliate, and if you can stick it out it will recover.

Other areas can be profitable too - just speak to some of the regular posters on this forum if you want more inspiration.

  Re: Whats your story?

been in AM since i was 14 ( last 10 years )
best thing ever when i quit my £20k a year job and took great pleasure in telling my boss where to stick it
wasnt an easy decision when you have a mortgage and a nagging other half etc but hey

ahh the good ol' days !

Stick at it & it will pay off !

testing is the key .. just because you think you have your campaigns 'nailed' .. keep tweaking & tweaking !

sent you a pm too

  Re: Whats your story?

I started in airport parking 2 years ago, fooled about and built a nice large website. Eventually gave it up as earnings were crap.

I then started site no 2. Smaller in size and only offers 1 product, highly targeted and I know the product like the back of my hand.

Iv earnt 100 times more off one small, highly targeted site in a nieche market than I ever did from 1 monster site with little market penetration.

Keep at it, keep it small and keep it simple stupid!
