This is a stacking issue. Its one of those niggling ones that we fix and then it comes back. Usually something to do with wmode in the flash embed code needing to be set to transparent so we can stack things above it.

Thanks for the spot, Its been added to the list

Feeds Page Speed Issue Fixed

After having a trawl through the code on the feeds page I've tracked down the rogue SQL statement(s - one for each of the two sections) and the page loading time has reduced from 10s/20s to around 2s now. Any feedback on whether everyone is experiencing a similar speed increase would be greatly appreciated!

Nick

This was due to a typo in the file I'm working on, fixed now

When viewing the forum on my mobile, Nokia N95, via built in browser and opera mini you cannot send PM to people, the option shows but it is not 'clickable'

Not sure if this is really a bug, but since the switch over A4U has been painfully slow in loading for me - at times I can't get on here at all. I can access other sites fine and at normal speed, I've even tried clearing my cache - I just wondered if it was me

I've found that I cannot edit my website URL in the forum
I'm not referring to the forum signature, but rather the URL people see when they click on someone in the forum's username (and the dropdown shows "Visit xxxx's homepage!")

On the page where there are 5 options tabs (ie when you click on your own forum username):
Visitor Messages | About Me | Statistics | Friends | Contact Info

Under Contact Info, there is no pencil icon for me to click on (to allow me to edit the setting) for 'Home Page'

I'm using Firefox 3.0.1

re: Affiliates4u V3 - Help us kill the bugs & add new features

Hi-

Since I deleted all my cookies yesterday, I'm getting intermittent log in problems into the forums- front page is fine, but on going to forums, have to log in, which takes me back to the front page, go back to forums again and bout 50% of the time I'm then in-
using Firefox 2.0.0.16

It was fine up until yesterday- so it may just be me!

Cheers

Jude

I have noticed some speed issues, but annoyingly never while I'm at work. We think the problems are caused by an ad-server run by one of our associates and will be looking into this in the near future.

The way the profiles work at the moment is a bit disjointed, due to the nature of the website being split into two parts (forum and the rest) everyone essentially has two profiles that aren't being synchronised at the moment. We are currently working on the events page and ironing out a few bugs elsewhere but user profiles will be the next major section that we work on.

Again due to the split nature of the site, this can happen sometimes if the forum login cookie and main site login cookie become unsynchronised. This is something we have been working on constantly and it has improved greatly but under certain conditions errors can still occur. As a way of getting round this I have found that resetting your password should reset the login state, after which you are free to set it back to whatever you wish.

Keep the bugs coming
