Question Affiliates4u V3 - Help us kill the bugs & add new features

As you know, at 11am this morning we launched version 3 of affiliates4u.

As with any major release, there is always going to be a few bugs and gremlins in the system which we didn't catch or plan for.
If you spot one, please add it here and we will do our best to fix it a.s.a.p

Also, if there is a part of the site you are having trouble with please ask, we'll be happy to help.

P.S - Version 3 has been developed for newer browsers (Firefox, IE7, Opera 8/9, Safari). Older versions may not render the site correctly.
We will be optimising the site over the coming few weeks so it degrades gracefully into older browsers and then we will look at getting it mobile.

Thanks in advance for helping to improve the site further

Pete

using Firefox 3 on XP today, on the front page I get a massive black box which goes a long way down the page:

Clicking the buttons on the customise homepage changes them, but clicking save does nothing. If I minimize customise homepage it leaves a white space below, where the black space was. Then when I reload the page, the big black box is back

Kandevil: Hold down Ctrl and press F5 to do a forced refresh. Also the Save function is performed by AJAX, I've double checked the database and your preferences are being saved

Looking good now I've done the forced refresh as above.

Couple of small niggles.

On the home page the footer text is Massive everything from Goto Top and below. (this was using Vista and ie7 no problem with firefox and XP)

On the blogs screen clicking page 2 of popular blogs breaks it

**** hey this is my 2000th post ****

Its a REALLY odd IE bug that increments the em's together to make super big text. Nick has been looking at this. Thought we had it sorted but obviously it has reared its ugly head again.

We will get this sorted a.s.a.p

Hi Keith thanks for your message, as Pete said this giant text bug is just another of those fabulous IE quirks you have to cater for, I'm currently going through the site site and verifying all the font sizes but as you can imagine this is quite a task! Also thanks for bringing the feeds bug to our attention, this has been fixed now

Cheers,

Nick

if you goto post a new thread and you're not logged in. The "click here to login" link doesn't work.

Also, the tickbox for remember me on this computer (when you login using the top login boxes) seems to have some graphical corruption.

Hope this helps.

If you were logged in when we updated the site you'll need to log out and then login again on the main homepage as the sessions were deleted during the upgrade.

In regards to the tickbox, can you let me know what brower you are using?

Thanks

Pete

re: Affiliates4u V3 - Help us kill the bugs & add new features

When you login you get redirected to the forum rather than the front page. Even though I don't log out, I often get autologged back in to the site and this the redirects to the forum.

I'd only just got used to going to the front page. Even if I type in www.affiliates4u.com if it logs be in, I get redirected to www.affiliates4u.com/forums/which can get frustrating.

This was happening before today's upgrade, just thought it worth pointing out now.

Using IE7 on Vista SP1. Wasn't logged in when the site was upgraded.
