  Stickyeyes - What a clanger!

howdy

im new to this forum but have been a part time affiliate for the past couple of yrs.

i live in nottingham and work as a plumber full-time... (boy do ya see some sights as a plumber... ahem...)

basically i had seen posts from a bunch of geezers called stickyeyes who i believe are based in yorkshire and thought id check out what programs they've got... until... i read a post by one of their guys asking for advice on how to drive affiliate interest in their programs.... this went down with me like a trump in a crowded lift and screams at me that these boys dont know what the hell they're doing... aint they supposed to be the experts and not have to ask general wishy-washy questions on a forum?????

fellow aff's - let me know your experiences of these guys (good or bad)

sticky boys - defend yourself as you come across like a bunch of no-hopers who are on the ropes after round one....

stay strong

billy boy

Hi Billy Boy

I have dealt with Stickyeyes on several occasions and have always found them to be professional, knowledgeable and on top of their game and I absolutely do not doubt their expertise - this is with both my affiliate hat and my merchant hat on.

The forum should be a place where people can ask for advice freely without fearing that they will be ridiculed or belittled.

Dear Billy

Im sorry that my quest for knowledge has given you the wrong impression of Stickyeyes and the Sticky Affiliates name.

I can assure you that as an agency we are more than competent in what we do, we have some of the top guys in the country within their areas of expertise

I personally am on a steep learning curve and I have all the support that I require internally, my previous post was meant to
1. Learn from other peoples experiences
2. Introduce myself
3. Start to build relationships with other affiliates. As I was informed it was a decent community to get involved with

I hope that explains the situation Billy Boy

I would also like to extend my thanks to Mike_M, jellis, channel5 and globalmedia for thier support.

Many Thanks
Jason

Re: Stickyeyes - What a clanger!

Hi Billy Boy and the rest of the members here.

Normally I do not entertain 1-posters, but after a few colleagues mentioned your post to me I decided to field your accusation.

First off, Jason is an ex-employee, and not disgruntled in anyway.

Secondly he no longer works at Stickyeyes.

Third, everyone starts somewhere, in his case we gave him the opportunity based on his past position and although he put his best foot forward, in the end we parted ways.

As far as your 'slaggers' comment, I can't help but think that you have other motivation driving you besides what you claim. It wouldn't be the first, nor the last time an individual such as yourself (usually a competitor) has attempted this. But as you can see, even ex-employees and clients' don't even have anything bad to say, so I expect your comments hold little or no value.

Finally, I personally speak at CAP, CAC, EIG, iGaming and A4U conferences, including the upcoming London show which I'll be doing 3 free training sessions, all by invitation.

I doubt the organisers would extend these invitations if we didn't know what we were doing.

If I was cynical I would assume that you wear 'too short' hip huggers that revealed your bottom and overcharged for unplugging my toilet...but I'm not cynical.

We all strive to better ourselves, but throwing rocks at a members' attempt to reach out for support and advice in an environment conducive to his query shouldn't reflect on them negatively, and shouldn't draw such unfounded criticism from the likes of a 1-poster that won't even come back to defend himself.

As you requested; we are here defending ourselves...where are you?

I've sat in on seminars run by Gary and other StickyEyes staff at various exhibitions and can also vouch for their knowledge and expertise.

Sticky-Jason - don't worry - I have partwed ways from Employers before for various reasons (haven't we all) - and also said things in forums that people have jumped upon.

As the above people seem to agree its the flamers that have the problem.
