With the Merchant 'trend' of reducing action based commissions apparently gathering pace, what are the potential strategies for Affiliates to ensure that their position is not further eroded ?
My initial observations, as a new Affiliate in this industry, is that Affiliates are highly fragmented and have little / no positional power, and therefore, currently little / no defence in respect of Merchants choosing to reduce commission payments.
Given the current industry structure, what actions can Affiliates execute ?
IMHO, Affiliates, like in the early days of the commercial Internet, think Amazon, need to get bigger, faster !
