best bet is copyscape.com really
Hi,
I was just curious if there's anyway of checking if an article you have bought has been copied and used by someone else, If the company you bought it from has said it's a one-off (not sure if they do that).
Thanks in advance
Ian

Never look down on someone unless you are helping them up. Fwitter
Cheers smingle, would I be right in thinking if your site is older than the one who has copied it then you would be ok in google etc, for organic listings?
read it as well
Sounds obvious, but if the content is 'rewritten' rather than genuinely uniquely created after proper research then it will read awkwardly.
Some bulk content providers now ensure it passes copyscapes test, ie. they have some kind of rewrite engine. Content keyword rich and relevant, but reads like a toddler has written it.

Music.co.uk & Claims.co.uk both now live
Hi Ian,
A very quick check is to highlight a section of text which you would imagine to be unqiue and then search this text within inverted commas in google...
for example...
"Fair enough, there are plenty of Hotels throughout Marbella to cater for all tastes"
You can then see if the text has been used within other content and if so was it the same content.
Gary
then set up an "as it happens" Google Alert with the text in inverted commas and let G keep checking for you
Not sure I trust any unique content sales pitches. Often find taht it is 'unique' on many sites

I have found Constant Content to be very good when i used them in the past, i spent thousands with them on unique articles which were 100% fully unique, always check before you purchase by running a search on various small blocks of text from the article.
