We have decided to start with a fresh database on the new system, apart from us having difficulty porting it over from the old system we noticed there were some incorrect links on the original database which was ported over from pagerank10, also with starting a fresh database it will only contain the merchants with current voucher codes which will make it much easier for you to pck and choose who to include on your website.

We are currently going through and adding as many merchants as possible with voucher codes to give you a good start, any future merchant who release voucher codes will need to be added by the publisher.

To add a merchant you will simply select the network, type the merchant name and add the merchant id.

Those applicants who we suspended or did not approve for the time being who would not accept our apology and reasons as to why we had to do this have been blocked permanently, as we do not want such affiliates on our network.

Here is the problem we are currently working on.

Someone enters a voucher code for 'Advanced MP3 Players' on POR
Someone else enters a voucher code for 'Advanced MP3 Players' on AWIN

We want both voucher codes to appear on Advanced MP3 players, irrelevant of which network it was added to and if those voucher codes are not dupliactes of each other.

Then we have to insert the correct link (POR or AWIN) in the publishers website depending on which network the publisher has chosen.

On the previous system i actually entered the network affiliate urls for each merhant (like on pagerank10), then we search replaced to enter your affiliate id's, on this system we have coded the url structure (so we dont store the actual urls, but we create them from a set formula for each network.... .. which is why the current database is not compatible with the new one).... or something along them lines.

There are loads of other problems associated with this such as different network url structures, different merchant id's, testing for duplicates (this is not easy because the merchant name in this case is the same, and the merchant id's are different for each network are different fo the same merchant) but we have nearly cracked it... Vince has gone for a 30 second break!... time waster lol

Just to let you know we are still working as fast as we can on this, you can see a few changes here... Discount Codes, Voucher Codes and Promo Codes , but most changes so far are to how it works coding wise, and to your account area.

On that link you can see we have added an A-Z menu (not mod-re-wrote yet) and not working 100% yet either.

We have also added something extra to the search, we now include the merchant who haven;t got voucher codes, this will give the visitors an option to still visit the merchant even if they have no voucher codes at this time and also limit the chance of you losing sales due to having no voucher codes.

Do a test seach to see what I mean.. for example GIFTS

Can those of you who registered and received domain names please login and re-activate your joined merchants.

Those of you who registered, but didn't get round to having domain names allocated to them or those who were suspended will have to wait until tomorrow and register again. (ill post here when ready).

At some point tonight we will make live the ability to change the content such as title tag, header text, general language content..

You can already change the colours and add merchants.

Not quite got the multiple network to one merchant problem sorted yet :-(

You can now start promoting your sites, adding merchants and vouchers as the database is done and there will be no more problems with your sites (maybe some small glitches), however we will still be building the site around you using it.

Forgot to mention how to change your site colours (not yet put instructions on the site)

Select - 'My Design'
Click inside the relevant box containing the hexadecimal characters, then use the colour picker to change the colour.

Press 'update' to apply those colours to your site.

We have now added a home page inwhich you can add your own content and html, so you will need to login and fill in the relevant fields in the 'my text' area. (content 1, content 2 and content 3)

The 'all merchants' link has been moved and now this is your 'home page' link so you will need to alter this field to show 'home' or whatever is relevant.

Those people who are doing nothing with your sites will be deleted from the network.

At the moment the html area is not restricted, but if affiliates start to mis-use this section it will be restricted.

Please dont forget to include your domain name or username while making payment to paypal@icodes.co.uk so I know who has paid what.

If you cannot login to your account this will mean your account has been deleted due to non use, and you will need to register again.

If you are no longer interested in having an icodes website just do nothing and the account will be deleted within 48hours.

Just to clear things up to those who emailed me regarding the account suspended email.

Your account has not been deleted, it has been suspended, all this means is you cannot login until payment has been made, all your settings, affiliate id's, running of your site etc... is uneffected, once payment has been made your account will be re-activated and you will be able to login.
