    Hi Guys,

I'm sure some of you experienced affiliates on here have sold many sites in the past, so I wanted to ask for your help.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

    • Post the URL, as I can't be bothered to PM for details as I probably won't buy it. If you post, more people will check it out, so more chance of getting a sale from someone who wasn't initially interested.
    • Post revenue details
    • Post traffic details
    • How much do you hope to get for it?
    • As much information as possible.

    Thanks for the tips D-mac.

To be honest I didn't really want to post all the details up, maybe some buyers prefer to keep details like that private, so I think the best approach is if anyone is interested please PM me.

Has anyone here used sedo or sitepoint? if so I would be interested in hearing how that went.

How would you expect anyone to be interested in what they dont have first hand information about. Maybe if you swallow your pride and post the url, it'll be great. People will PM you though, but many likely buyers wont approach you cause you dont portray yourself to be serious about selling a business.

To sell a site you will have to post it about and make sure you have it in the right places to be sold. Sites are sold here fairly often so this is one of the places.

If you are genuine you'll have to swallow your pride.................. Course if your not genuine then sell it on Ebay!

Thanks for the link Hannah. Always amazes me when these people want to sell their websites but won't give out the URL unless you PM them. Would you try and sell a car on say the Pistonheads forum and say "hey I'm selling my car but you have to pm me to see what it is". You would be laughed off the Internet!

He probably fears that people will know the website has been sold and lose community or that the website will deprecate in value if the sale is a bust and he has to try to sell it a second time.
