Over the years I have paid thousands to SEO guru's - some of it well spent, some if it not.
I paid thousands to visit Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas - we had a blast but learnt 'nowt (apart from the fact I like strawberry daiquaries)
This year, like last, we'll be paying a fair whack to attend the A4U Expo - every penny well spent.
The amount we've spent on travel and hotel accomodation to attend all the 'free G2G's' the length and breadth of the country would probably keep me in tiaras and chocolate for the rest of my life - we've made some good contacts, met some fabulous people, had a whale of time and, now and again, picked up some very useful information.
So would I pay £50 for Affi's info - bet your bottom dollar I would, even though I might not implement it - might not have the time as we're running 2 very succesful internet businesses - but you never know in this game when it might all come tumbling down and I don't fancy going back to the Halifax.Elaine - Children's Rooms and Allkids

I wouldn't, I don't believe there would be anything we didnt know already or couldnt find out. There are plenty of marketing blogs with strategies, templates, real world experience etc. Start at John Chow, ProBlogger, etc and follow the links out. Subscribe in your RSS reader of choice and you'll have this stuff dripping into your inbox faster than you can read it.
Godd luck

Would I pay £50? No. Would I want to read the contents? Yes. Would I pay £50 after I've read the contents and was utterly convinced of their worth and knew it was a strategy I had time and ability to implement? Still No - the price point is too high. I can buy any autobiography for £9.99.

No I wouldn't pay £50 for a pdf of information.
I would pay £50 for a £50K profit though!!
Call me sceptical but I would question why anyone who has ability and experience in affiliate marketing to make cash like £50k would bother to be selling pdf's at £50 a pop.

Well say it took him, I don't know, maybe a day to write it if he can sell 2000 copies that's £100k which is a very good return for 1 days work - however much you earn
I look at these guides as just needing to be even slightly good to be worthwhile - if you get 1 just decent tip out of it that's probably going to make you a lot more than £50 so it would be money well spent.

I have paid more money in game guides, so yeah I would probably pay that for many people here if they where to publish useful information, the problem is always knowing who will publish something worth reading. I have seen many a guide by very big organisation that I wouldn’t give them £5 for and they ask for hundreds and equally I have read a couple of ebooks by “experts” that while they didn’t tell me much new, they did have the odd bit of information that made it worth the money spent.
Of course if everyone brought out ebooks then that be a different kettle of fish, how I lost all my money buying ebooks on making money LOL ;-)
One last thing, many people can tell you very valuable information that could net you tens of thousands of pounds and it be on a piece of paper no bigger than A4, most people would feel cheated by that so often what is an A4 worth of what you need to know becomes hundreds of pages of pure drivel and you end up missing what you need to know, that A4 sheet of paper.

Hi Chaps,
small update.
I just heard this post got a mention on some "big" website somewhere, forget where now but it was somewhere like the BBC or Come Dancing...
The question was hyperthetikal to satisfy my curiousity - a few who have said "yeah" on here etc - I'll drop you a line. On checking the "timing" from last year, the 25th of Oct is where you need to be gettin started (at the latest)...
Christmas buying is already happening NOW, no two ways about it. It's a dribblin... and will go ballistic in early Nov.
I already made about £2k this month from the sites covered in my hyperthetikal £50 e-book.
Would I show you one campaign making £100 profit a day from £4 Google PPC, for £50 token price tag?
erm, no brainer...
Would I show you a bunch of sites that made £50k last Xmas if I knew the strategies are applicable in about 10,000 different ways?
Of course I would.
Who loses out?
Anyone who doesn't buy it....
Aff.
The "£50 e-book" is NOT FOR SALE
Welcome back tbp...Last edited by Affi Liate; 24-09-08 at 03:37 PM. Reason: (at the latest)...

I voted no, and here’s why
In Affi’s first post he/she gave the impression that everything from Christmas 2007 (keywords, PPC campaigns, sites created) would be in the article/ebook or whatever is called, but in another post then said that he wouldn't be including specifics, then in the latest post Affi gives the impression that everything is included.
So what is it? Will it be a general guide? Will it be covering everything? Or somewhere between the two?
I also still think that the info contained in it will be of less and less value the more copies that are sold.
If Affi is going to "show you a bunch of sites that made £50k last Xmas" then he is surely going to get a load of affiliates copying exactly what he has already done, whether this is the intention or not.
So what it Affi's main motive for selling this? Is it wealth distribution as he said earlier? Has Affi gone all Karl Marx? I doubt it.
Also, 12 months is a long time in marketing and things change quickly. With online marketing, things change even more quickly, so what worked last year may not be as profitable 12 months on.
I think I might wait until Kieron has bought a copy and kindly reviewed it before I change my mind.
Of course this is just my opinion for what its worth, and please do reply here in January 2009 if you did buy Affi’s £50k Xmas 2007 Profit Strategy and made a load of money from it, and tell me how stupid I was for not buying it.

I am in, and I would pay based on other info I have seen read and even used.
Do I get it for free now lol
There will always be questions like, why give away (or charge very little) for information that could dilute your own sales and make other people money instead of yourself, can you get rich from selling a PDF's and renting software that enable you to knock up quick sites...Maybe?
If you get one single piece of info that you did not already know, that makes £100, the £50 is not wasted, if you spend £50 and do nothing or make nothing, then lesson learnt. I'm still in

So what was this scurrilous rumour that t4xi and Affi Liate were one and the same person so he could have a conversation with his alternate personality?
Don't believe it for a minute.
