Our PCSO said some of them cry like babies when the police pour the booze away. Sadly some of them leave them to it and it's so wrong.

Last year (Weather was better so we had more incidents) there was a massive gang of kids all drunk and they started fighting. When the police arrived they collared two girls who were so drunk they couldn't stand. It took two officers 40 minutes before a parent arrived to go with them in an ambulance before they could take the police car back to the station to wash it out after the girls had been sick.

We need to start caring about the big issue (alcohol) and stop pretending being liberal or whatever. This is an issue which should worries all but apperently not enough has done about it. We are not going to enjoy a productive society soon if our teenagers getting exposed to such promotions.

I am really concerned about life of the next generation. Shame!!:td

The girls were having a laugh with them and they were laughing along. Eventually they gave the vodka back to the girls and walked off!

I was shocked, so later I called the police station. Eventually a senior policeman called me back and I told him the story. He basically said "what do you want me to do about it?".

I think the authorities don't take such things seriously unless someone is dead/stabbed or raped. It is sad to see how lifestyle changed.

The problems Britain faces with regard social responsibility are our own fault. Go to Spain, Go to Ireland... you'll see what I mean.

Problem with this country is that:

a: There are too many of us living here on this little Island!
b: Because of the high population we Police and rule with harsh laws that forbid any form of fun or activity.
c: Because of the high population and many different cultures we have to keep EVERYONE happy meaning no one is allowed to say/do/be anything without upsetting someone.
d: Because we are mostly focused on money, class and style we breed children who from the word get go have to study, keep off the streets, become fat and inactive while we feed them processed crap because we spend so many hours chasing the money, class and style dream that we haven't the time to spend on silly things like family and community.

So to sum up, our children grow up inactive, are told to study endlessly, any form of fun like football or games (the local playing field is now a Tesco) is forbidden, we fill them full or additives in the food and once they are 18 they will spend a lifetime in debt chasing a dream that only exists to line the pockets of corporate Britain.

The sad thing is we always blame the symptom not the cause so once we have finished ruining our kids well tell them its all their fault...... NICE one!

Is there any wonder the kids are off the rails I bloody would be!

Great contribution! Many thanks to all of you!

ASA asked the organisation to stop such marketing particularly those who are not registered with the cahrity's mailing list.

ASA like those of you who disagreed withthe "advert", disagreed with the exercise.

This is really shocking to see how irresponsible some behave in the market particularly if they brand themselves as "charity".

The culture such organisation created and targeted vulnerable consumers, we can talk about this hours and hours, caused a very bad situation in the society. This sadly unable parents to control their children and they see schools as a place where they are told about what to do and what to consume; whereas this negative influence comes from inappropriate marketing and targeting of irresponsible organisations.

Anyway I am not in a position to convict anyone but I thought I can have my say and at least let some others know about the fact that we are losing our control over our children life because some organisations aim to make money out of them regardless. more importantly we are not part of shaping the culture any longer but businesses and organisations take over and aim to lead us where they want to. Therefore I think we need to be more vigilant to this and think outside the box, like some of you guys contributed to this post.

This is our society and we live in it, please let's think once again whether we want it as what it is and if yes how about our future? Is it going to be the same at all time and we'll enjoy the same thing in the same way???

I think the point of this post wasn't about "body".... it was more about how this image used and alcohol promotion - there are things behind this which I think can be interesting to discuss about. If we call ourselves marketing people we should be able to analyse this post and the advert per se which this post brought to our attention?

Whatever is being shown on TV, it always boils down to the discipline and guidance given by their parents. There maybe influence or curiosity to the youth but it will not be a big impact. I read an article about Punishments for Teens Caught Drinking Alcohol that According to researches done by the National Institute of Health, drinking is the substance of choice among young people. Among 12 to 20 years old, around 18% of the total population admit to engaging in binge drinking and 6% in heavy drinking. Underage drinking is a big factor in teenage death, injuries, and risky behavior such as sexual promiscuity, violence, and others.

There comes a point in teens' lives when parents feel that their influence is considerably less important than it used to be. While it's true that there are many strong influences in teens' lives, the influence of their parents still play an important part on how they will form their own decisions. Teens are always looking at parents' words, decisions, and actions. They take cues from this along with other strong influences coming from peers and other role models.
Whether teens will end up struggling with alcoholism down the line often relies on how parents respond to discovering their teens' underage drinking.
