When is Mark Pearson going to stop ripping off other peoples ideas and hard work???

It obviously wasn't enough to rip off our email newsletters:
    http://www.affiliates4u.com/forums/a...t=mark+pearson

He is now ripping off our travel content, word for word - probably via our RSS feed.

You can see him in action here where we purposely left out the space before "31st" to see if anyone was ripping us off - we might have guessed who:
"Save £40 per couple - for departures up to31st October 2008." - Google Search

Mark, can you actually go any lower?
Please put a stop to ripping off our content and write your own.
And while you're at it - please stop doing PPC on our brands including PriceDash.

I would advise other discount code site owners to check that their feeds are not being ripped off in this way.

I've now attached a screenshot as we remove expired promotions (31st October) unlike the ripper, so the Google search will then not show the offending item.

    Thnx

    come on Mark.

In Barbados you said you were going to clean up your act.

The thing is, I had a notion to do this - aggregate RSS feeds from vouchers sites and spin them off onto my site with Adsense etc. But then I thought about it, I'd be ripping off my mates and there's nothing lower in my mind.

I think there should be a bigger effort made by all not to rip off other affiliates - unless this is an innocent make you've made.

In my mind, the VC side of the affiliate business has got more cut-throat the last couple of years where the sites are adding their competitors brands to their boiler plates with messages like "we're bigger than xyz, have more codes than ABC etc," it's just a bit sad really.
Do you have products for review on my chocolate reviews or Easter eggs blog?s PM me.

It's not big and it's not clever.

Shows the affiliate world in a bad light.

I'd have been less discrete in the RSS/Scraping...

How about appending some text to the RSS title text .... " !"£$" Off! " :-)

hmmm sounds like a recipie for disaster to me..

who .. if thinking straight.. would set on a course of action he knows would really pi$$ off other webmasters.. Yup the guys who know how seo works both ways.. positive and negative and how they can get a site to rank just as easily as get one wiped out..

Only has to be a matter of time before MVC suddenly aquires a million backlinks in one night or some other rank destruction action and it disappears from google and shaves a huge slice of revenue off every day.

he'd better hope all the guys he's piSSed off don't decide enough is enough and hook up to formulate a plan of action.

I know it's about the money but I'm surprised he's got away with it as long as he has..

I hope he cleans his act up .. isn't good for affiliate marketing in general when this kind of thing goes on.. there's a disturbance in the force.. the dark side is moving !

I don't things are going to change at myvouchercodes house, it is a shame that this is still happening after all this time.

I must admit that I do visit loads of voucher code sites to help keep my site up to date but to copy lock stock and barrel is wrong, risky and rude.

Being a newbie to affiliate marketing and of latter, a owner of a voucher code site. I have been hearing of late that there are some uncall for tactics being used to beat your competitors. Infact I am sure I was a victim when i first launched my standard basic voucher site.

Surely to ensure the exciting world of Affiliate marketing grows year on year I believe we need to make sure a bigger effort is put into putting the final nail in the coffin of those whom carry out inapproriate behaviour towards fellow affiliates.

I understand we are all here to make money but I believe under no circumstances should we RIP each other off!

If you dont like myvouchercodes the best way to get back at them is to report them to google for some of their naughty SEO tactics and hit him were it really hurts, in his pocket.

You have a range of thing to report myvouchercodes for:

    1) Paid link: Below are a few examples:
citiesAmerica.com - Online Directory of United states Cities Information - Hotels, Real Estate
Wise Bread | Personal Finance and Frugal Living Forums
Website Value Calculator » What is YOUR site worth?

    Free Stuff Page Freebies
    Mozilla Links
    Mozilla Links
VIP Band Manager - You, the public vs Simon Cowell
Baby Chatter - Baby Names, Their Meanings and Origins
Topmarks Education: teaching resources, interactive resources, worksheets, homework, exam and revision help
    The Gospel According To Rhys
    Best Man Guide
White Plimsolls .com – retro white dek canvas plimsoles plimsols order online

    2) Keyword stuffing: For example on this page: Dell UK Voucher Codes Dell Discount Codes Dell Discount Vouchers Dell Promotional Codes
Dell.com, dell notebooks, dell pcs, cheap pcs, dell discount codes, dell voucher codes, dell coupons Dell UK homepage - Computers, Computer equipment, electronics, and services., Learn about Dell's laptops, desktops, monitors, printers plus PC electronics & accessories., dells deals, Dell.com, dell.co.uk, dell notebooks, dell pcs, cheap pcs, dell discount codes, dell voucher codes, dell coupons, dell computers, dell uk, laptops, dell laptops, cheap laptops, Dell UK homepage - Computers, Computer equipment, electronics, and services., laptop, computers, dell laptop, del, pink laptops, printers, dell outlet, pda, Learn about Dell's laptops, desktops, monitors, printers plus PC electronics & accessories.

I'm not defending MVC at all but i'd advise anyone to think long an hard before reporting sites for things like this, its not hard for Google to identify your sites when you report sites so if you are confident you are 100% squeeky clean report away but i know that i would'nt want Google taking a closer look at some of my sites.

On a side note i'd be very pissed off if anyone copied any of my content is such a blatent way.
