Thread: Too hot to shop

We may lose a few quid during this warm spell but I for one won't complain cuz I simply luv it!! Sitting outside in the garden with my wireless laptop, beer in hand, catch a few rays and slowly conduct my affairs... Now this is the life of an affiliate!

this is the first week of my (ahem) retirement. Couldn't have worked it better - question for Fleapit - how can you see the screen when the sun is blazing down???

I constructed a little cardboard sunhat for my lappie... I wouldn't want it to get sunstroke afterall!

I am enjoying the heat as well, but from the west coast of Canada. We haven't seen rain in weeks. In some parts of the province there hasn't been rain in nearly 50 days. The sun is great, but we're all hoping for rain because there are 380 wild forest fires burning in the province as I write! Unfortunately some people have lsot their homes and many others are living in shelters because they were forced to evacuate. It is a record hot summer here. Is it there as well? I heard that London was hotter than Jamaica a couple days ago!

Who says global warming doesn't exist?!

Some traders have expressed concern that people are too hot to shop.

Peter Avey, who runs Seasiders amusement arcade and restaurant in Brighton, said: "I think it may be too hot for a lot of people.

"Over the weekend numbers of people were up but takings did not reflect it.

"Everyone was buying ice creams and drinks, but I think it's too hot to eat."

Can the rain dancers get back to work now please?
