Is that link for real? Or is a "please visit me cos I've just told you my username" sort of site?

EFF is about as real as it gets.. think its only a db of fileswapping Subpoena's though.
Still there bound to send a few out to UK by mistake.
I have enjoyed reading all the replys thanks everyone.
It just seems such a shame as its a great opportunity. Dont think I have the confidence to take it on. I will just keep putting my effort in to my merchant site.
Ow well if only I had some freinds who lived in the middle east or somewhere that would solve the problem.

Or maybe I should just post it on the board and see who has the guts to do it.
Having recently lost a domain and more than a couple of quid because we had an ooh in front of a trademark - my advice is don't bloomin do it.
You may get lucky and the company involved is reasonable and polite in their initial approach or you could get unlucky and have your pants yanked down and be caught up in a gimp style pulp fiction scenario.
And you wouldn't want that (well you might, but this is in the legal eagle take you to court sense).

I'm in a similar position.
I've registered the plural version of an American merchant's name.
It's a dictionary word, which can be used to describe a range of products, not just the ones this particular merchant is selling, so I think I'll be safe to use the domain to promote this merchant and others selling related products.
But I've not done anything with it yet, I'm still a bit nervous about using it in case the merchant's lawyers think I'm an easy target!
Over the years Ive had 3 incidents all of them mentioned legal action to me and in all incidents I agreed to handover the offending domains.
I think it would be extremely unlikley anyone would pursue legal action without first politely asking for it.
I though it was likely that the company would've made a polite enquiry first... but they didn't...

Thats cos' you make to much money![]()
Us poor folks get asked first cos they know we havent got any money.
I think Qwerky's feedback was excellent! The website could be all about the amazon river (or whatever, as long as it is clearly related to the domain name) AND include a little affiliate link at the top of the page that says...
Looking for amazon.com? Click Here.

End of the day its still passing off.. why bother. Your never gonna become a millionaire doing that. Put your time and effort into something with more value and potential.
