Don't do it ! I know someone who posts on this board who did this for Amazon UK and USA. They forced him to hand over the domains or else lose his outstanding commission. I think Amazon UK also threatened to sue unless he stopped it.

Go for it Sam. It's only going to cost you a few quid to register it. Then tell them what your doing, they will either let you carry on or just buy the domain from you. Don't bother however if they are one of the companies that has issues over everything Affiliate related, like Trademarks etc!

Sam, its not worth the hassle. Even if the company allowed you to use it or chose to ignore you.. they can turn round any day and simply ask for it transfered to them.

If you build up any kind of biz from that domain it will all be lost.. put your time and effort into a stable biz.

If it really does look obvious that you're trying to cash in on their company name then they may try suing you if you don't give it to them. They may not succeed or be right, but these things cost in time and money to contest so you have to decide if it's really worth it.

Register it, build it full of pictures of the amazon river and bid on the keyword amazon.

Then offer to sell it to them for a handsome price or spend the next 12 months answering emails from Amazon river fans
