absolutely fine.
one problem is that dgm and CJ links are banned if you have norton installed which quite a few people do.
My new site www.RabbitRabbit.com all seemed to be working OK, until I was told that some of the links on the home page do not work when user has a firewall in place.
The three functions all of which can be done within a minute or so are :
1. Click on "Sign-up" - should get sign-up screen.
2. Click on "Take a Tour" - should see presentation in pop-up window
3. Log-in using guest/guest - should get taken into members admin area.
I would be grateful you could do a quick test and let me know if one or more of these functions do not work and if so what firewall software you are using and what settings you have on.
Thanks in advance.

Everything worked OK for me...

Is this correct? I've been having problems for several weeks now. Everytime i think i've solved it.....
I have no problem with CJ, but some of DGM is totally out of bounds to me, and what i can get i have to get by IP.
I'm running Norton, but i have been for years, and this problem is only a few weeks old.
Been finding the increasing number of ad blocking software extending their reach to blocking known advertising networks a real pain in the a$$ lately.
Norton firewall has settings that render CJ links broken - annoyingly the average user just thinks it's your site with broken links.
Most users we have helped with this were simply unaware their software did this or that they even had such software on their system in the first place!
We tried installing this script to get a feel for the size of the problem:
www.antiadbuster.com/
But couldn't get the non-zend optimised version to work on our server. (Not sure of the details dont think it was a problem with the product as such).
In the meantime I'm posting a customer services message explaining issues to users:
www.greasypalm.co.uk/emai...orking.htm
However, I really want a more robust solution to help make users aware that its not the links that are a problem but the over zealous settings on their system. But for now really don't have a solution![]()
Neil,
I like your customer service message - would it be OK to "borrow" and amend it for our own use?
Sure, bear in mind I borrowed it from another site (although should have changed the text enough not to infringe on copyright).
Please be sure to strip out references to GP in the text, although feel free to add a GreasyPalm partner link if you so wish![]()

I can only tell people what I experience with my PC but "Norton Internet security" includes ad blocking software.
It keeps a list of banned domains which can be removed but 90% of users wn't know how. My list includes dgm2 and CJ servers so i get a red X for all their banners. As i said, may be different for others depending on which version they have installed.
Yeah Worked fine for me, no probs whatsoever.
cheers,
Mark.
I read Neil's customer messgae but is anyone going
to bother doing that ?. Not many I doubt.
