Has or does anyone use site build it to research and build affiliate sites. I keep seeing it for $299 and am wondering whether to buy it or not.

    Any help would be marvelous.

    Hi,

I've got a Site Build It! site, but it's not really an affiliate
    site (see my signature).

Think Site Build It! has a lot of potential, but it's more aimed
at creating content sites than affiliate mini-sites. I'd still
    prefer to knock-up a a 5- to 10-page affiliate minisite
on my own rather than using Site Build It!

But if you can create some decent content, then it might
be worth your while using it. (Site Build It!'s recently
added HTML functionality for those of us who *can* code
in HTML using Dreamweaver etc., so it's now a bit more
webmaster-friendly - but it is a tool aimed at beginners.)

Take a look at my site, and the sites listed at <a href="http://www.mikino.com" target="_new">http://www.mikino.com</a>
    - they're all Site Build It! sites (my site is also featured!!)

When I first started with Affiliate marketing I set up a site using SiteBuild it. I have not really kept the site up to date, only adding a few pages since March, but as all the submission is automated and you optimise every page as you go, I am showing up pretty high on MSN, Google etc for my chosen keywords.

So for me SBI has already paid for itself. And I use it as a link to other sites for spidering.

For beginners (which I know you are not) it is great for understanding the basics of research, submission and optimisation and PPC.

I still use the research tool a lot for checking out new site topics, and the info on each of the search engines is updated regularly so it is a useful source of info.

    Tnx guys,

another question, can you only use SBI for 1 site or many site you build.

Also the only thing I cant understand is the "profitability" field, how do you work this figure out?

Unfortunately, you can only set up one site through SBI per payment. However, you can you use a number of the tools for other sites as they are not domain specific.

I use the research tools for new sites to find out the the supply and demand for keywords.

The profitability score is a bit cryptic. I am not sure if you have got the SBI guide, but in it it says that profitability is a ratio between supply/demand and takes all the keywords on the list into account in a weighted fashion. When you add or remove a keyword the profitability for all the keywords will change but their relative value to each other will stay the same.

It goes on to say to take the specific number with a pich of salt... All the number gives is a guide as to which is the best keyword to focus your site on.

    Probably doesn't answer your question....

All I did was use common sense and if the demand was high and the supply was low logic says that this is probably a keyword that will be attractive and have little competition.

I hope you have fun with it...

    Thanks for that Richdan.
