Thread: To clear things up buy.at vs me the affiliate

    Hi ,

A few things have been discussed recently regarding posts in the forum and I wanted to make things clear for all.

I work for buy.at dealing with both our merchants and our affiliates.

I am also an affiliate of many programs myself and this makes it a little awkward posting sometimes

When I post in the forum I use this nickname but my sign off tags point to our buy.at forum etc.

I also sometimes want to post purely as an affiliate and for this not to be misconstrued as anything with a hidden agenda.

Now when I am posting purely as an affiliate I shall still use the same nickname but take out the sign off tags so people can recognize the difference and no offence is caused.

I believe this fits the model used by some other network representatives .

    Thanks

Malcolm, why not register a new username for your affiliate posts so we can instantly recognise that there is no connection between your posts as an affiliate and those an an employee of Perfiliate Technologies?

Using the nic "perfiliate" could imply to a network/merchant that your posts are also the views of Perfiliate Technologies, which could land them in hot water.

Using a seperate nic for affiliate posts would ensure that there is no comeback on Perfiliate Technologies for any post about another network/merchant by yourself under your affiliate username.

Clarke does a similar thing - "supercod" is his affiliate username, and "paidonresults" his network username. You can link the two accounts together in ezboard to make things easier - just remember which account you're logged in to!
