The Thank You Thread (xmas gifts)

Thought i'd start a thread for people to thank merchants, networks, etc for gifts in the run up to christmas, so if you want to thank anyone for gifts feel free to here

I'll start with a big thank you to Webgains for the hamper i've recieved, it sounds great (haven't seen it yet as it was delivered home and am at Uni atm). Hopefully when I go home next week there'll be some of it left

Thanks again
Max

Woo hoo I love this time of year and looking forward to my gifts from the networks

Makes this job worthwhile, and yet another reason why AM supercedes any other fulltime employment jobs

Re: The Thank You Thread (xmas gifts)

Hopefully I'll receive some nice gifts this year (hint hint) as I am doing substantially more revenue with networks and merchants than I have done in previous years

Whilst not a Xmas Gift I'd like to thank Green People for the great prize they sent me for October competition - this was my first!

Would any thanks on a public forum be genuine? Over the years, the annual ‘Thank You’ thread seems to be self promotion of the individual affiliate.

You know what I mean!

If you want to thank someone, then email them directly without the reversed publicity that is implied with each 'thank you'.

Re: The Thank You Thread (xmas gifts)

I thinks it a great idea and I have never used a 'thank you' thread as self promotion, infact I cant even see what you mean.

This forum is probably one of the main forms of contact I have with the industry and the people in it and I think its a great way of communicating a thank you to everyone involved in giving prizes.

Yes I do email the people to thank them but often its more than the 'communicator' thats involved with the prize giving. Besides most people like being thanked in front of their piers. Its also the least I can do in return.

Barry, you have just used the magic word 'prize'. So the gift from a network has to be viewed as a prize.

That is my point! It's all about telling everyone, how well they have done to be awarded a prize!
