Google keyword tool or Google Trends

Hi All

I was wondering which one you think it more reliable

As google recently changed to give traffic on the Google Keyword Tool is been good so far but i have a keyword which shows 60,000 a month but on google trends shows literally maybe 15 searches a day

all other keywords show more or less what the Google Keyword Tool says but this doesnt so makes me wonder how reliable it is and just to stick with Trends

I tend to use the keyword tool and I find it approx 50% correct (in the way I calculate things)

ie it shows terms as 16k searches a month and I am number 1 for the phrase and I get approx 8k visitors a month for the phrase, so I tend to use that as my own personal average.

Best way to do it is to look at the figure and divide it by a quarter and if there is still a large search qty, then it is a good one to go after. This way you won't be disapointed by lower traffic levels
