Not seen out from their PR company, and it was not on bbc breakfast news
I would not be surprised as I am sure big players media co's will be after companies like MVC
I've had someone post on my blog that MyVoucherCodes Sold For £7 Million? Does anyone have any official news?

Even though I did no like some of the tactics he/they used, I guess its still a good effort, I would not say no to 7m sales of a site
Will be interesting to see if there is any news released about the sale
Would'nt suprise me in the slightest. Its always seemed like a sale was the whole aim of the site to me. Built as much traffic and income as quickly as possible and then cash in.
If true £7m is a superb figure!
Risky purchase IMHO - regardless of current traffic and userbase. MVC is there to be shot down.
I don't believe the comment on Lee's site, becuase it doesn't make any sense, why all the staff would be sacked? Sounds like someone is trying to stir up trouble, or maybe it is just a piece of link bait.
If it is true, I don't think it is a risky purchase, MVC is by far the most most popular voucher code site out there, the traffic is way, way above anything else in the sector. £7m does sound high though.
I do. Lets say their slightly risky linking structure (at least part of it is anyway) gets penalised by Google, the site drops significantly in the search engines and then what. I don't think they have a particularly loyal fan base, every bugger i speak to seems to know MVC's but also knows that its (or at least was) frustrating to find codes that actually worked and were valid!
If he did sell maybe he should have waited till Tuesday if Mondays going to be the biggest online retail day of the year
I know nothing about links but I know others have mentioned his slightly shady link building.
Saying that if any big media comps are on a buying spree today im selling mega.co.uk and Christmas Cards for £7mil each - one day sale only though so be quick to get your wallets out! lol
seems like a lot of money

Perfectly sensible in my view........MVC has upset many merchants, but has lots of traffic....a new buyer will fix all the dodgy cookie drops and revive all the relationships.
The issue is that if google does a shift....hitwise reports very few visitors actually search for the domain name

Getvisable you are a bit touchy.
I didn't mean you, I meant it might have been MVC who seeded the link bait. It will get people talking and maybe linking to them.
