Should you be concerned about AF
With the current climate delayed payments from affiliate future are not good. Affiliates should not have to put up with this in any way shape or form..
Late payment AF.
Excuses come in 2 forms one is an accident twice is stupidity and three times well you decide.
What say you..Last edited by suzukibandit; 03-01-09 at 09:50 AM. Reason: spell ooops

As of today after being told repeatedly that payment would be made yesterday and other disgraceful nonsense, plus generally being treated like a general mushroom..
No payment has been made...
If a company has problems, then it should be honest and not stick its head in the sand and hope it goes away..
So i ask again, should we be concerned about the long term viability of affiliate future.

If a slack accounts departments were grounds for worrying about long term viability then there wouldn't be a single UK affiliate network still trading !
each and everyone of them has had payment issues at some stage.. and more than once so I wouldn't worry too much.
I'm still waiting for around £5k in commissions that are "prepaid" for from another UK network that are months old now .. just exactly how prepaid doesn't get paid out at the end of the month is beyond me but am I worried?? nope not in the slightest.. annoyed but not worried.

There are some affiliate networks that are very poorly run - and certainly AF is top of the pile when it comes to that list. Their website is down intermittently and tracking has been very poor with some merchants. I don't use them very much due to this lack of trust.
Whenever Ive contacted them I've not been very impressed by the answer or the time taken to resolve problems.
Are they going bust? Who knows but they won't be particularly missed by me.
They're not the only network with poor administration and accounts departments though it has to be said.

I totally disagree, they are well run as far as we have experienced. There are some affiliate networks that are very poorly run - and certainly AF is top of the pile when it comes to that list.
I do agree they have some server issues though. These are due to be resolved so im told.Affiliate Citizen

as a network you cant have downtime that causes banner and tracking problems - you simply must have contingency that stops this happening.

I have just come across a post, i think it was one of those betting sites, who had problems paying out, however when it was brought to there attention.
Firstly they applogized and secondly they paid out no fuss no excuses they just did it.

Even my patience is running out, AF could at least keep us informed of the situation we shouldnt have to email them for a reason.
IF ANYONE FROM AF READS THIS CAN YOU PLEASE! FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT DISSPELL ANY RUMOURS BY GIVING EVERYONE A DEFINITIVE REASON FOR THE CURRENT SITUATION.
