I am looking to outsource the build for my underwear site (www.underwear.co.uk) as with such a premium domain, it needs to be a premium website on it.
Can anyone recommend someone who can do the following
1. understands basic seo (for the site build)
2. understands how to intergrate product feeds etc from affiliate networks
3. can design a professional website along the lines of Lingerie Express and Ann Summers: Sex Toys | Lingerie | Rampant Rabbit | Adult Shop
You fit the bill or if anyone knows someone, then please contact me
Thanks

Could we suggest illustr8 Design and Marketing in Nottingham. They have been a good help with our new site (not live yet) and they have a good portfolio of digital work)

Hey Frank - feel free to drop me an email with the spec (if you have one already) and i'll take a look if you like.
edit: seems like the Anne Summers site is in some sort of a redirect loop... weird. Is anyone else seeing that?
I highly recommend Project14 (Project 14 - Multimedia design from the brain and fingers of Luc Pestille) - Luc has done some work for me in the past and it's all of excellent quality and very well optimised.
I would recommend Imaginet (imaginet - your trusted digital partner). They've recently rebuilt our website (Christmas Hampers UK ? Virginia Hayward) from scratch and done an excellent job, incorporating all of the items below that you've mentioned.
They don't particularly have a proven track record in the adult website industry, but then they didn't have a track record in hampers either. The content will of course be different, but the principles will remain the same.

Don't use Web Creation UK

Really depends on budget as to what you get. I can send over a few good design agencies based on budget. I've worked with upwards of 20 different ones but I've found it really depends on budget with agencies

Unfortunately your PM is full, purge it and send me your email in a PM, i will link you up with my professional webdesigner offshore, you should be able to negotiate a good price. I have introduced him to a couple of guys here.
I'd split it out into 2 parts.
Design
Build
brief the design to 99designs Leading Designer Marketplace for Logo Designs and More? and pay a fixed price and have people bid on your task.....feedback and pick the very best.
Stick it on a solid scalable /good for seo cms like joomla or drupal and find a joomla or drupal specialist to hack the backend to your brief and install the various feeds and content.
That way you can easily fire the developer if he/she doesnt do what you want without losing your design
Of course if you are throwing a stack of cash at it and can do without the hassle of the above method pay a 1 stop shop![]()

For any creative work that I have been involved with we have used a company called DJM Web. They are very good at what they do and have an excelent understanding of the things that you mention.
Let me know if you need a contact over there.
Cheers:tup
I don't know whether it was the sheer incompetence of the programmers doing just this for us in a previous build, or something inherent to Joomla, but we got into a horrible mess doing something similar. We ended up with a Joomla CMS that was so hacked around that it was unrecognisable to anyone who tried working on it subsequently and we fell off of Google on keyphrases that we'd performed well on for several years previously.
I can see why this could be a good approach, as it was an approach that I would have advocated a couple of years previously, but once bitten twice shy. If you can afford to do so, I really would recommend spending some time finding a very good agency to work with.
