Are Hamleys still on AWIN? they are usually good for the top Xmas toys.
As we know every year the list of top toys is published and we talked about it on this forum a while ago… I am however in a problem this year, I can’t find enough merchants that stock the top 12 (I am actually doing it for every section so that’s 72 in total) so any merchants who have stock of any of these items please let your self be known or if you sold out but expecting them back in soon then again let us know.
My approach this year has been to list multi merchants but been hard work keeping on top of just updating.
Here is a list I made of who has 1 or more of them (not always in stock but was when I 1st done this).
Forbidden Planet
Woolworths
Littlewoods
Grattan
The Entertainer
Freemans
Harrods
LX Direct
John Lewis
Prezzy Box
babyworld.co.uk
Hamleys
That’s the merchants I am using, who am I missing (Toys r us I know about but can’t get approved).

Yeah and if you don't mind a really low commission level and loads of leakage to reserve instore,

Out of interest, what do you have as the top 12 toys in each category?
I know there seems to be a number of "Top" lists floating around, but there are some differences from what I've seen. Would be interested to know what the general consensus...
As for Merchants, yeah pretty much got them all from what I can see mate, and agree totally with Argos![]()
The official Top Ten Toys can be found here mate...

Yeah see the link above, all the ones from each of them sections on the left hand side. Be warned loads of them are out of stock with many merchants, it's a bit of a pain but I guess that's to be expected however this year more than most it happened sooner.Originally Posted by Frostie
Hi Clarke,
Sorry a bit late on this as I needed to get confirmation from my E-Commerce team. babyworld.co.uk stock the Tomy Aquadraw and are receiving stock of V-tech in the near future so will keep you posted on that one.
Hope that helps.
Thanks
Rachel
small world, Im in regular meetings with the chap "Derek Markie" who helps compile the list.
Argos used to be just ok, when they gave you 50p for click and reserve but now it's 25p and only around 2% for sales - not good.
I think alot of people are buying from eBay this year, as lots of the Top Toys seem to be appearing on the auction site.
Which network are BabyWorld on?

The problem with this task is simple:
The top 12 toys are decided by industry "think tanks" well in advance BUT as soon as they are announced, every retailer jumps on them and buys them up.
This means that it is very rare to find someone who has a ready stock of every single product - in fact, I would bet there is not one single place that has them all.
The other factor is that some firms steer clear of certain products, e.g. if it doesn't fit in with their product mix in line with their marketing strategy.
Hope this helps explain a bit...![]()
