It does seem odd as they have moved to CJ today. Sure most would have prefered they stayed with their program where it was!

I once emailed Blockbuster my advertising idea, they didn't go ahead with it, but to say thank you they did send me 20 free rental vouchers!

My idea was based around getting Bob Holness back on our TV screens to promote a new game of 'Blockbusters'.

I feel Blockbuster should of let all affiliates known in advance that they were swapping affiliate programs!

    Didn't receive this email either!

Looking at the program on CJ it looks like they are only paying for a converted paying cutomer rather than paying per trial (as on AF). Pretty lame if thats the case.

This is a real shame. We used to promote them on TD until they closed that program, then on AF and this one has now closed grrrr.

I agree, after sending them hundreds of leads, it would be nice to get a bit more notice and an explanation.

Also, of all the networks, CJ is one the least appealing in terms of late payments etc. What's eve worse is that even though on the program description on CJ it says that "Over 70% of Blockuster Trialists sign up for full membership", if this is the case, why not pay CPA for the Trial sign-up any longer?????

    Very sad indeed.

Industry sources suggest that CJ are offering a very low override (ie. quite a bit less than 20%)...

Great for the merchants, crap for the affiliates...

CJ did the same to us. Our website went down due to problems with the hosting company so we wern't using any of the networks and CJ were the only one to close our account. Even though we signed into the account few weeks previous to it being closed.

For some reason when we tried to sign up again we had problems with the application page, the little picture with the code, to stop automated sign up, wouldn't appear. Eventually worked!

Just signed up to the Blockbuster now, waiting upon approval of site...

    Super.

I've just spent a thrilling hour or two updating my DVD Rental site. Thank goodness I now have daily net access else I might have missed this one.

Words cannot express how thrilled I am to have undertaken this task in order for me to be paid less commission than before.

I'd just delete them from the site if I didn't get a fairly healthy number of leads per month... and I've lost two or three big merchants recently so my outraged principles will have to wait till I can recoup some earnings

Got my VAT bill from Xmas trading today too. Can the day get any better?!
