I just wanted to thanks Matt and the A4U Events team as well as Tom and the DFDS team for a fantastic event yesterday in Newcastle.

I had overdone it a bit on the Tuesday night so was suffering slightly on the boat. However the event was very well organised and I enjoyed the presentations/panels. Was a shame that the last panel (with me on it) was cut short due to having to get off the ship but these things happen.

Thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work that went into organising this, I know its not easy. Special thanks to the networks, agencies and merchants who came up from London. But...there should have been more of you, shame on Affiliate Future, Affilinet and OMG for not attending. Especially as Affiliate Window managed to send 4 people despite hosting their own event tonight.

Was gutted I couldn't attend the cruise to Amsterdam but am sure I will hear all about it when the drunkards return this weekend. I've already had a video message that made no sense at all from them at the Heineken brewery! lol

Just wanted to apologise on behalf of affilinet for not attending. We normally go to all the a4u events - including those in the north frostie

We have been incredibly busy and with a few of the team on holiday we just couldn't make it.

Hope you all had a great time and see you at the next event.

    Cheers. Pete.

    Hi,

    Well put Kieron!

It was a great day, with interesting presentations and a lush buffet!

I cannot wait to hear all about Amsterdam either!

Just to add our thanks from everyone at DGM. As always we found the event invaluable in terms of meeting up with friends both old and new.

Thanks to Claire and Matt and also to Tom and the DFDS guys who really pulled out all the stops to make everyone feel welcome.

Shame in some respects that we couldn't make it to the Dam but in other ways maybe it's a good thing!!

Look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

I would agree with everything that has been said this was my first visit to an affiliate do and talking to people and seeing the whole set up made me realise that this is the business to be in. I will have to pick up the books and listen to my wife and my parents and actually learn to use my computer for something other than poker.

    Hi guys,

Thank you for attending the event; really pleased you enjoyed your day and found the seminars of interest.

We left the crowd in Amsterdam yesterday afternoon; the evening looked set to be quite exciting

Quite agree Liz, the food was great! In fact I had three helpings and the same for dinner in the evening!

Thank you to DFDS & Equator for making this event possible.

Just wanted to add a big thank you from Affiliate Marketing/Silvertap.

Thanks to Claire and Matt for organising a great event it was worth the 6 hour train journey from Norwich!!! We certainly found it very useful and we're looking forward to the next one.

It's a shame we couldn't make Amsterdam i'd have certainly enjoyed it if Tuesday night was a taster of what was to come!!

    See you all soon.

    Yes it was great.
I had a great time both Tuesday night in Newcastle, the following day on the ship and in Amsterdam yesterday!
Was great to see old friends and make new ones!

Now I'm back in the office feeling far from fantastic...

Looking forward to the next one already!

    Cheers

Amster-damn right! I'd like to thanks all those involved too, from DFDS who outdid themselves to Claire and the a4u posse who kept the rabble together. It was good to catch up with all those that attended.

Allow me a BRIEF breakdown for those interested:
The boat trip was a lively one and there were a few delicate faces in the morning. The drivers' commentary on the coach was equally surreal as the Heineken experience itself (glad you got the video message Kieron, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but actually coming up with something worthwhile to broadcast on the spot was beyond us). As I left, I think we were beginning to see some casualties of the dutch coffeeshops
No names however, what goes on tour stays on tour.

Hope everyone else had a wicked time, and I look forward to hearing some x-rated updates.

Have to agree guys - great event! Particularly enjoyed the Hitwise presentation, some really interesting stuff.

The crossing to Amsterdam was excellent - and the buffet was as good as Claire says! Casino was fun - and my syndicate team should defo have won - can't believe we lost right at the dying seconds....

Big thanks to our girls from Equator Event's and Tom @ DFDS, you guys did a great job, as did A4U of course.

Looking forward to the next one!

Fantastic trip guys, thanks very much. Had a great time every day/night and put a lot of names to faces, which is always good! I am home now and like Jasper, am feeling far from brilliant but it was a wonderful event so thanks to all involved in the organising! Oh and a special mention goes to buy.at for being life savers when I needed internet access urgently the day before the trip!

The drivers' commentary on the coach was equally surreal

Driver: "The transport system operates on a zone system, the more you pay, the further you go."

Comment: "Just like the window shopping"

Driver: "Koffeeshops (sp?) are not the same as Coffeeshops. In the latter, you can purchwase some spwechial schtuff. You will walk in and fly out"

    Absolutely box office.
