Hi Simon,
I second that idea in another way, how about merging a4uforum.com with a4uforum.co.uk to form an entity.
Hi
Just a suggestion that would be interesting to see if others agree with.
I'm sure there are other affiliate managers like myself who look after the UK and US markets. There are also affiliates who operate in both areas. I hang around on abestweb, etc but it would be really good if we had a US Affiliate lounge on here created so that we can discuss the challenges and opportunities that the US brings.
What do people think?
Cheers
Simon
Hi Simon,

Having just launched our US website, I approve of that idea.
There did used to be a US version of the forum, but since the update I haven't seen it.
I find Abestweb very un user-friendly

TBH I think it's time all four forums (Australia, Europe, USA and UK) were just merged as one as has been suggested in the past, with separate geographic sub forums.

I like the idea. It would be easy to research on USA merchant programs and obtain latest info on the US affiliate industry..![]()

Hi Simon
Makes sense to have a US section, be good for LinkShare
I'd also like a Retail section, they have gambling, finance, travel etc. But Retail's the big booming area for affiliates in my eyes at least. Whilst the aforementioned areas are probably too competitive today for affiliates

I agree... a US forum wouldmake sense with many merchants/affiliates cross-marketing between different regions.

Seems like quite a good consensus - any mods or anyone from A4U care to respond?
Yep, I do like the idea. Different territories may present different challenges & opportunities as you correctly suggest, with subtle differences quirks.
I have moved the post to Mod Choice, to ascertain more forum members views.

I think they're busy analysing the stats.
From the above "US Area":
"in Baghdad, civilian deaths have decreased by 75%, which certainly accounts for some of the increased optimism we’re seeing by local civilians and local officials here in Baghdad."
If only they had a statistician on staff, they would know to selectively target only the non-local Iraqi civilians who are armed and are also pessimistic.
Then they would have some truly impressive figures to report next month.
FYI - I am in Australia and the issue here is simply the site is slow.

no, A4u must be dedicated.
it's like a local pub for many of us.
Morning,
You must read our minds as we had a meeting a couple of weeks ago here on a global strategy
We will shortly be moving a4uaustralia and our European and USA forums to this domain name to create one global resource. Affiliate marketing has no borders so we don't need to create one by having separate websites.
We are currently looking at geo-targeting to ensure users in the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia get the most relevant content throughout the site.
I guess at this stage it would be useful to know how you would like say the USA forums set out? - For example would one 'Lounge' for the USA be sufficient or should we look at separate network forums? or perhaps verticals?
Should we have individual forums for Germany, France, Sweden etc?
As Nadeem says we don't want to create an uber list of forums so that things get a bit daunting, but I can see the need to look at a solution.
Thanks,
Matthew.
