Re: Does the UK Need its own Industry Magazine?

I probably wouldn't buy one as there is so much information online these days. I don't buy New Media Age or Revolution, so I doubt I would buy a purely affiliate based magazine.

Re: Does the UK Need its own Industry Magazine?

I would be interested in a UK affiliate marketing mag. And if the quality / price balance is right I would certainly buy it. I do know of a couple of Gambling specific affiliate marketing magazines (GPWA, CAP) which are free for members of the respective forums, but even then if the price were right I would buy them if I wouldn't get them for free.

Of course the majority of the costs could be compensated / sponsored by advertisements. These should of course be of interest for affiliates, merchants , so adverts of affiliate networks, affiliate management agencies and maybe 3rd parties like hosting, SEO optimisation and other services.

printed magazine is for offline reading and when you are away from PC.

it allows you to read comfortably for long long articles and reports.

Re: Does the UK Need its own Industry Magazine?

Revenuetoday was thinking about it back in Miami Aff Summit, well they certainly know enough people in the UK , but not sure how far up the UK would be on their list of to do's.

Im a bit skittish if they would be the right people to report on the UK, all editorial control would be made by some one from the US and in recent weeks, well lets just say Id be happier having a UK person reporting on Uk aff marketing and being edited by a UK editor.
I know journalism is not always about being balanced and fair, but... this would be the minimum that would, for me, be acceptable.

Thumbs up Re: Does the UK Need its own Industry Magazine?

I'm not based in the UK or the US, but I agree with kcheung. A UK-focused mag would be great for seasoned and newer affiliates just getting into the industry. It doesn't have to be monthly, but quarterly and then build from there. If you build it, they will come.

Re: Does the UK Need its own Industry Magazine?

If there is a magazine, can I do the photography for the front cover.

You can picture the scenes: (for those readers of 'Golf Punk' magazine)

- scantily clad woman holding a mouse
- scantily clad woman in a darkened room hovering over a PC with a bookshelf of PHP books
- scantily clad woman (possibly Billie Piper) filing her tax return

etc etc

I'd be willing to offer my services for 12 link exchanges.
