Now the volume of business going through network B is greater. If they should now choose enforce a similar restriction on activity it would consolidate through network C, and so on. At this point the volume has concentrated to such a degree that commercially it is very difficult for a network to decide to switch it off. It happened with blatant brand bidding, framing sites and spyware so I’ve no reason to think it won't be the same again.

Networks that enforce affiliate friendly solutions are often the ones penalised the most through loss of revenue. Those networks that choose to merely pay lip service get the best of both worlds. The visibility to be seen to support and the revenue from activity they allegedly do not condone.
As with most things in AM, the onus is also on the merchant, if not on a greater level than on the network. The network either has ethics and sticks by them, no matter what loss of revenue they might provoke, or they don't. In the same way, a merchant either approves a specific practice through all their networks or condemn it across the board.

I have been busy working today on my database and submittal forms (along with trying to explain it to my other half, who is now the primary voucher submitter) to take into consideration the way in which the 'click to reveal code' mechanism works on my site.

I now have the ability to differentiate between 'offers', 'discount codes' and 'product specific content'

This means that where my site says 'click to reveal a code' only listings with a code in will have that statement. If there are 'offers' in my database like the example for Astrobingo given earlier it will just display as an offer without the need to click a reveal code button.

I can also now list product specific content and single it out to the bottom part of the page and not have it mixed in with the discounts - which is nicer for users and the general run of the site.

Of course it may take me some time to go over all 4,500 codes listed in my database to alter these, but I feel that this is a step forward.
