I created a new record (for a new merchant) after editing the functions file, clearing the db and retreiving new content. I'll try the latest install, maybe over the weekend.

    Cheers

Are you going to constantly follow me round the forum policing whatever i post, where i post it and what i post about... im starting to feel a bit stalked.

I do agree its in the wrong place, and wouldn't mind at all if a mod removed it, or the forum thread starter asked it to be removed,... he would be in his rights to do so, but why does it have to be you all the time, I must have really annoyed you at some point... was it when i asked for exclusive codes on the forum... you didn't like that either.

    Hi..
Don't you think this whole thread is on the 'wrong forum' There are three discount voucher scripts available, this thread looks as though it belongs to Affiliate Future, particuarly that it has their banner all the way through it... I think that all of these scripts will have their own merits, but why should Affiliate Future be deemed more important than the other two, quite rightly placed on the Website Promotion Forum. Would Affiliate Window be allowed to promote their very excellent Shop Window on this forum? I think not!

Sorry, I have no fall out with you, I would have thought that the three scripts should be treated equally. I also thought that as members of the forum, everybody would be treated the same.. I know there needs to be moderators, thats exactly what they are, not to be able to promote their network, just because they are a moderator and an employee of Affiliate Future. Although I have thought about it, I would probably never have written it, but for your comment, which provoked a reply.

im not trying to provoke , upset or whatever anyone , i dont disagree with what u are saying , but what i meant was a mod put it here so there must be a reason and im sure they will let everyone know.

this is a part of the reason i dont like forums , as posts can sometimes sound like the person is being ****ting im not i just didnt do well at english at school

Can we please stick to: Voucher Code Framework by Affiliate Future as this is what this thread is about.

Bickering and moaning can be done elsewhere.

    Thanks.

    Hi folks,

Don't want to get into an argument over this here, but just to clarify a few things.

Firstly the framework was developed by AffiliateFuture - and my banner is on all of my posts We've released it as an "open-source" community project - we purposefully allowed for the other codes to be entered for other programmes that are not part of AffiliateFuture as we wanted to give something back to the community and show that innovation from a network can come in many different shapes and forms.

The AffiliateWindow/ShopWindow comparison is slightly different as that is a network project (and a fantastic one that it is) whereas hopefully this framework will be something that developers and grows by other affiliates and networks contributing; that was certainly the aim of it.

I can only assume that the reasons why this thread was bumped up was because it's a free system and an open-source project, whereas the other two systems (which are both very good) that have been discussed are commercial products.

The main thing I would like to clarify however is that there are no AffiliateFuture employees who are moderators on the Affiliates4u site - we don't even made moderator access for our own forum! As mentioned above, the product is not an AffiliateFuture one - it's an affiliate community one that just happens to have been coded by us to start with.

That's how I see things - in terms of future developments we're going to put a Wiki together where custom functions can be shared and hopefully changing the base code slightly to allow for "skinning" so that users can create and distribute their own themes - no deadline on when this will be completed but if anyone else would like to contribute to the code before the Wiki is ready then posting on this thread is probably the best place for it.

    Cheers

A Wiki on it would be great. I hope in the future that there are going to be some great innovations and developments that come from this initial framework. Also a Wiki on AF would give us a greater scope to post thoughts, upgrades and 'hacks'.

Its good to hear that your open to the framework being used in the future to accept other networks feeds. (although I am not a massive programmer so someone else will have to figure that one out, lol)

Added the first "Custommod" as I got a bit bored tonight:

    Custom Mods

It's for adding a new field for an imageurl and getting it displaying on the merchant / voucher page.
