    Dear All,

As part of an ongoing program of development Laskys are implementing a number of changes to the Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions.

All affiliates have until March 16th 2009 to become compliant with these terms or they risk suspension from the Laskys Affiliate Program. Effective immediately the new Terms and Conditions are as follows.

    PPC

No use of the Laskys domain name in display URL's

    No direct linking to site

No automatic re-directs to the Laskys site

No bidding on the Laskys name, terms, variations or misspelling thereof (brand bidding)

The Laskys name to be included as a negative keyword.

    Display

All information pertaining to Laskys must be accurate

Affiliates are not permitted to use the term deals or offers in conjunction with the Laskys name unless in reference to current and valid offers or substantiated deals and must link directly to these offers or deals where appropriate not to the Laskys home page

Affiliates are not permitted to use the term cheaper in reference to Laskys without citing the source and date of comparison prices

Affiliates must not display information out of date by 5 days or more, including, but not limited to deals, offers and expired voucher codes

Deals, offers and voucher codes must be clearly separated

    Domains

No domains containing the Laskys name in the URL or variations thereof (URL squatting)

    Display URLs.

You cannot operate domains which contain trademarks for the sole purpose of driving traffic from Search Engines.

It is important to note that affiliates must not use the display URL of
    HTML Code:
    http://www.laskys.com/
or any variation of this. Any affiliate using this display URL may be removed from the programme.

Affiliates may not use trademark terms such as a subdomain in their URL e.g.
    HTML Code:
    http://www.laskys.com/affiliates.com
Affiliates must use their own website which can include trademarks in the sub folders of the display URL e.g.
    HTML Code:
    www.affiliatesite.com/laskys.com
    Breach of T&Cs

A breach of any T&Cs will result in immediate suspension from the programme.

Hopefully this will help potential customers to find the real valid offers and codes without having to wade through the expired stuff first.

Great step forward, lets hope other merchants follow :tup

To enable us to do this with deals / offers a valid expiry date would be required (like voucher codes), at the moment we have to guess offer expiry dates (giving them a month or two), then have to extend them if we find they are still live and delete them if no longer available, but with the thousands of merchants this can become quite time consuming if no expiry date is given.

Simply saying bla bla offer has now ended is acceptable in some circumstances (ie while stocks last) but not ideal for most offers as it makes automated expiry date removal useless.

Maybe you should start at the top of the food chain and remove out of date content?

    "£50 Off - January Savings"
    "Save £50 this January"
"Save £50 on the selected product(s) below. Just enter the promo code JAN50 at the checkout stage once you've added the product(s) to your basket"
