If we select $ but the commision is in £ do we loose out on the exchange rate and does the card value show as $, if so we would loose out again when withdrawing via a UK ATM.

Also is there a payment run for sending cash to the cards or is it instant ( well within 2hours as you said) as soon as the payment is cleared for payment in Buy.at?

    Hi

I nearly signed up for a card but saw the card fees,

Could someone help me clarify please.

Card activation – Non U.S. $12.95 Per card

    Charged to get the card?

"ATM withdrawal - Non U.S. $2.15 * Per Trx When withdrawal is requested"

Does this mean i get charged per withdrawal?

"Loading of buy.at payments $2.00 Per load Funds available within 3 days from payment acceptance"

Do i get charged to recieve my payments?

"Monthly card account maintenance $3.00 0-2 trx/month From available card balance each month"

Does this mean i get charged a maintenance fee monthly?

I like the idea, but uf this is right above, i will stick to my UK Bank Deposits

    Thanks

    Phil

    Hi,

Indeed there is an unavoidable conversion fee when converting the £ into $.
We are working to get the buy.at cards issued in GBP & Euro but until then cards will operate primarily in USD.

Since we’re converting the aggregated amount of money, conversion rates are much better, thus we are committed to give the affiliate these rates.
If you cash checks for free and are happy, the card may not be the solution for you in this example.

Advantages to greatly consider with the buy.at card include:
    • speed in which International funds will be available to your cards
    • elimination of dealing with bank account
    • Most importantly – you will have greater value with buy.at’s card when buying traffic from Google or Yahoo in $

We encouraged trying it check total amount in GBP at the end of the process and sharing with the forum.

We will match your fees for the trial between the conversion fees between Payoneer and your current payment method.

    thanks

    Phil,

Firstly, in order to avoid the $12.95 activation fee, I recommend that you order the card before June 28 2009, as we will be bearing the cost of the activation as an introductory offer. Even if you elect to not use the card option for future payment, you will not pay anything.

Secondly, we have assessed the functionality of the card option versus our current international payment options. I am confident that buy.at card costs will be lower to you than the costs of receiving cheques or bank transfers into your domestic accounts. Added to this, we’ve arranged a system that clears affiliate commissions at much lower thresholds than before. Simply put, you get paid in quicker cycles.

We recommend that you order the card and fully compare how much spending cash you will have at hand after accepting a cross border check payment vs. a cross border payment on the buy.at card. If we are wrong in our assessment, Payoneer will refund you the difference between the available cash.

Order the card, use it once, and let us know what you think on the forum.

Some of the advantages are listed below,

    ->The buy.at card fees are 100% visible.
    ->There are no overdraft penalties
->You aren’t charged if you don’t use the card
->You aren’t co-mingling your deposits into one personal account.
->Fees are only deducted if there is an available balance.

Remember that you dont have to have all of your earnings paid by one payment method and so you can mix and match to ensure that you get the best value.

If you have any problems, please give me a call and I will be happy to chat.

    Regards

    Hi all,

Adding to Paul's latest post and confirming Payoneer will refund you in case you discover that you manage to cash out more money from a cross border check payment vs. a cross border payment on the buy.at card - try us, you'll see the Payoneer card will get you more money at hand.

Also, i would like to give you few hints on smarter ways to use your buy.at card:

    • The $2 load fee to accept funds onto the cards applies to any amount of money buy.at pays you and in any currency that you get paid in. The buy.at affiliates accepting cross border wires or USD/UK Checks will find this minimal load fee beats the hassles of waiting for the money to arrive by mail. We are certain of this!

    • ATM fees are a fixed price per ATM withdrawal. We recommend to withdraw the maximum limit on the card so that you’re not withdrawing your commission more than once.
Keep in mind that purchasing items on line or a retail store do not assess a transaction fee. A smart suggestion around spending your commission is to divide your expenditures between large ATM withdrawals and unlimited Retail/Online purchases.

    • Monthly account maintenance fee is deducted from available balance only. Fees will never drive an account negative and they are not incremental.
They are also transactional based, so if you run 3+ transactions per month, your fee will be only $.99 or what is left on the card to cover this amount.
Transactions are defined as a purchase or ATM withdrawal. Monthly fees occur on the first day of each month

please let me know if you have any question, you can also always email directly to tomer@payoneer.com

    thanks

Interesting - i think Payoneer work with a few other providing a payout option.

Is the payoneer card available to promote as an affiliate? so anything in there for us affiliates to promote or is it signup through buy.at only??

At the moment, both buy.at and Payoneer are fully committed to making sure that this new payment option is a success. Once we have achieved all of our targets, we can then start to focus on other opportunities.

We will, of course, keep you informed with any news!

    Hi,

I've been asked several times these next questions, so I thought it might interest everyone here:

Who can benefit from the card?
The card is the ideal alternative for affiliates and publishers who are now withdrawing funds using international payment or cross border checks. You are now able to avoid heavy currency conversion fees, and stay away from bank hassles and awaiting several weeks to clear foreign currency checks.

How do I apply for a buy.at Payoneer master card?

You can set Payoneer Prepaid MasterCard as a payment method for any currency you have generated transactions, no matter which payment currency you choose. The payment will be loaded on to the card in USD. The buy.at prepaid MasterCard allows you to make purchases and withdraw funds at an ATM in your local currency worldwide, everywhere that MasterCard® is accepted. Once you choose Payoneer Prepaid MasterCard from the payment options available you can click on the Apply link to get a card.

    thanks

    Evening all.

I am delighted to say that I have just had a catch up call with the guys from Payoneer and they have agreed to extend the FREE CARD ACTIVATION PERIOD until 15th August 2009.

Gil Abir from Payoneer was at our recent Speakeasy event and has taken a great deal of feedback from it. If anyone has any feedback for us on their experiances with this new payment option, I would be delighted to hear from you......good or bad!

    Best regards

    Hi Paul,
Any update with regards to the Payoneer card being available for affiliates to promote. So not simply as a payout option for the buy.at programme but also to promote to consumers in the UK.

I remember this question had been asked before with the possiblility that this may happen in the future at some stage. Are we there yet?

    Thanks

    amitsharma,

This is one for the guys at Payoneer to take a look at but at the moment we are working on a few improvements to the current offering and that is taking up most of our time.

I will make sure that the guys are aware of this interest though and they may well be in touch.

    Cheers

    Thanks Paul.

I am sure the guys at buy.at / Platform-A would also be interested in having Payoneer on board as a merchant as well because there already seems to be a successful business model in place and they could quite easily offer this as a direct to consumer proposition.

Just think that we tend to see a lot of interest in prepaid cards but not enough worthwhile working propositions.

Thanks for your help with this.

    Cheers

    amitsharma,

We would be happy to promote Payoneer, but we have to make sure that Payoneer have a public facing product that they want to sell first! There is a lot of legislation around prepaid cards that can make it difficualt to promote, but we will look into it further.

    Cheers.
