An update from Marshall Ward - New URLs – Part II – Creating your own URLs

We recently emailed you to tell you about the forthcoming changes to the Marshall Ward website and how this will affect your promotions.

If you create your own links or use hard-coded affiliate creative, please take some time to read our instructions below on how to build the new URLs which you will need from July 2nd onwards to ensure your sales keep tracking.

How do I create the new URLs?

After July 2nd, you can take any URL on the Marshall Ward site and add your own tracking to it following these three steps.

1) Take the URL from the browser address bar, for example:

http://www.marshallward.co.uk/womens/nike

2) Next prefix this link with your unique Buy.at tracking:

marshallward.at/YOURHANDLE?DURL=

e.g.

marshallward.at/YOURHANDLE?DURL=http://www.marshallward.co.uk/womens/nike

You should of course change the “YOURHANDLE” to your unique buy.at ID.

3) Finally, you will need to append this string to the end of each URL you build,

?aff=buyat&affsrc=deeplink&cm_mmc= buyat-_-affiliate-_-na-_-deeplink

That means the URL should look like this:

marshallward.at/YOURHANDLE?DURL=http://www.marshallward.co.uk/womens/nike?aff=buyat&affsrc=deeplink&cm_mmc=buyat-_-affiliate-_-na-_-deeplink
