Hi I am a new entrant into the affiliate marketing arena , Affiliate window appear to be one of the bigger players , as a merchant they seem to want fairly heavy up front fees. Do they perform ? What is the general affiliate/merchant view of this or any other network? I look forwards to any comments.

    Many thanks

In my opinion, Awin have developed the best integrated product feed system. Merchants that PROPERLY take advantage of it do well.

As an affiliate I have seen my earnings rise as a direct result of their ShopWindow system. For me, Awin earns me the most money !

I have been using the AW product feed from day one, it is without doubt the best service available.

They have not gone down the easy road but have designed a product for the professional which can be implemented easily by the technicaly challenged.

The conversation back and forth between affiliates and AW is open, frank and constructive.

They have a good mix of front line merchants and wanabes.

With over 1 million products in their product feed they are only matched by Amazon.

Great range of programs, although not all suit my range of sites (something I have to change). As for the contact side - massive thumbs up, very helpful and quick to responses in my experience. Same goes for a couple of other merchants also, but not sure if I can/should mention them in AW forum.

Frostie, sure you can mention them - no worries.

As for Affiliate Window, a sure ans steady performer, with some great programs, staff and support. They also pay on time just about every month.

    Thumbs up.

So they have some crap merchants ? So what .... don't pick them. They also have a lot of good merchants. Affiliate networks should be more about the tools and services offered to affiliates and Awin score top on that.

Also, at least they are prepared to give less established merchants a chance which is actually a plus, not a minus. Who knows, they could turn out to be the next eBay or Amazon.

    I agree with watcher.

Who doesn't have faults, but at least AW are trying to do something better than any one else.

Next year we can pass judgment on them, but give them the chance first.

If they succeed - just watch the queue of merchants and affiliates to join AW.

AWin are also my best earner but, to put a slightly negative bent on this thread I think they are getting a bit bogged under of late with the IPS.

It is a great system in theory but in practice it is at best passable and at worst unreliable.

Personally, I think the guys at AWin need to emply some more staff to cope with all the new features they are implementing.

I'd certainly recommend AWin but I think they are at a crucial point where they could either leap forward or start to lose ground to other networks such as AF and TD who are also bringing out their own product feed systems.

    Hi all
We have been using Affiliate Window for about a month now and I have to say we have been impressed with them. Like yourselves we are new to the Affiliate arena having specialized in other areas of on-line marketing before. From AW's point of view they have a juggling act, on one hand they want to encourage the merchants to sign up to them and on the other they want to look after the Affiliates.
From my very limited experience in all this I find that communication is the key to getting success. I am always in touch with my Affiliate partners to let them know if I have put anything new in the way of creatives or if my banners are going to change etc, etc. I think this is only correct as it keeps every one informed and does'nt spring any nasty surprises for anyone. The feed back I generally get back from my Affiliates is positive, at the end of the day we are all trying to earn a crust.
AW are always helpful and prompt in getting back to me with any enquiries, so no moans as yet!

From the Affiliates point of view AW are always trying to push the commission levels up the merchant is paying, I agree with this, it encourages them to put your adverts in better positions and ultimately you get more sales - everyone is happy!
