We have only just downloaded a couple to test and started to use ShopWindow.

But On each we are getting the following error messages for this link.

It may be obvious to someone, but suggestions would be appreciated.

yep - you need to do a replace all on the affiliate code in the csv with the one given on the merchant links page.

Wasn't going to use them then thought I'd have a look. Basically the tracking url is formated wrong in all the csv's. I've told them about this but they haven't fixed it.

It only basically adds thirty seconds per csv anyway but is still inconvienient.

I think its done that way to make it simpler at their end - to code everyones affiliate id into the file would result in masses of files at their end (and remember that some of these files are not small).

Would have been better if they'd just given the deep link part of the URL rather than the whole putting a placeholder in.

I always worry that some bright spark will have the idea of changing AFFILIATE_ID to something else and not tell anyone.

Lee - you're not replacing it manually are you - take a look at the string replace functions in whatever language you are using. I store it the way they give it and update it on the fly.
