Looking for comments on these stats please.

I have a well established Gadget Review site that is showing 31,600 clicks in AWin for this month (click ref report), from 263 different merchants but this has only generated 4 sales.

Traffic is pretty low at 13,000 for June so I'm thinking the click ref report is wrong.

I would say theres something very wrong with your site. Are you using datafeeds? I had a problem where some of my datafeeds had the a href tag in the img location and caused a click to report when the page was viewed. Maybe a similiar situ ?

You should try and find the problem incase you get kicked off.

AW clickref stats are full of thousands of scraper / bot clicks caused by the bots spidering your link urls - my guess would be that 75%+ of reported clicks in AW are not from real visitors. Try disallowing link urls in robots.txt - this will stop some fake clicks but link scrapers do not repsect anything.

Alterantively you could send clicks via a remote hosted redirect script, check for the referrer url and if not present then grab the IP of the scraper request, pass this on in the clcikref and then ban the ip on originating sites when you know them BUT this will turn into a fulltime job!

Just accepting that the stats are of little use is the easiest option.

As above, you do need a good robots.txt when running datafeeds
