I constantly have to login to both & get constantly redirected between the two sites.

If I want to view a merchant I get redirected to Darwin, if I then want a text link I'm sent back to the main website.

Why has this still not been completed?

    Hi discowill,

If you are having issues with constantly having to log in when switching between our two interfaces, then please try to clear the cookies and cache in your browser and restart your browser.

    This should resolve the issue.

    Hope this helps.

I think the deeplink generator and get banners section should both be on the same version. It's not exactly ruining my life but I'm not sure what the logic is?

    Hi there

We are busy working on moving everything across from our old platform to our new. At the moment you do have to jump between the two interfaces and I agree is not pretty and a little confusing for users. It will take time before everything is moved across as we are focusing on high quality re-engineered code that ensures the new platform will run faster and allow our business to scale to an even greater level.

It's going to take a long time to finish the migration of all features to the new platform. In the meantime we have an update coming soon that will help solve the user experience issues that you raise. We hope to have this update live in the next 6-8 weeks.

Regarding the log in issue, if you make the Darwin log in page your start point for accessing the AW interface you should not have to log in to the old interface as that is handled for you. Always log in to Darwin first at this location: http://darwin.affiliatewindow.com

    I hope this helps.

    Regards

OK cheers Chris. I will get around to changing the bookmark but I'm sure you can appreciate how lazy some of us affiliates are. I'll try and do it today if I have time?

Thanks for the reply Chris, I will also change the bookmark over.

It certainly is frustrating switching between the two systems, thanks for the update (might be an idea to send an email to all affiliates about this).

    Thanks

At the moment when I log in to awin and want to join a merchant it takes me to darwin. Fair enough. but then when I click back it's logged me out of awin.
And then I have to log back in to darwin which I might have done an hour before.

Is the short login cookie deliberate?

No need to change you bookmark, you can enter your Darwin credentials on the Affiliate Window homepage and you will be logged in to Darwin from there.

    Hi mogga

I think that this is likely to be because you are logging in to the old interface using your older login credentials and then logging in Darwin later to use functionality in that admin area. Cookies and sessions may be getting confused.

    Please can you try:

After doing this, you should continue to log in to AW using only your Darwin login credentials. Your Darwin credentials allow you access to both the old and the new interfaces without having to enter any further usernames or passwords.

I hope this helps. Any problems, let me know.

Personally I like the old version, it is a bit of a pain back and forth, and having to go in darwin when wanting to look up a retailer or check terms etc.

I would have been happier if you allowed affiliates to still have full use of the old interface (including looking up merchants), and when Darwin is fully ready then great.

As you said it is going to take months of setting up, so why change the old interface functions at all. Old interface was 100%, Darwin is in Beta. Keep old interface as it was exactly and continue to work on Darwin.

Is there anyway to get Darwin so display the time in UK instead of my local time? Awin used to display the UK time which was good as I am targeting the UK.

We recently updated the time displayed within the account switcher area to the local time of the user. This change was made to reflect the increasing proportion of our affiliates who operate in different time zones. Unfortunately, we do not currently have plans to allow this time to be customised within individual accounts and with our focus on improving existing functionality and migrating everything to the Darwin interface, it is something we are not likely to be able to review for some time. The time reported in your sales and commission data remains in GMT.

I often thought it was an odd system. I guess once the move happens it will be all one system and only one login?

You do only need one set of log in credentials now, if you make the Darwin log in page your start point for accessing the AW interface you should not have to log in to the old interface as that is handled for you. Always log in to Darwin first at this location: http://darwin.affiliatewindow.com

There is an update in development at the moment that will unify the two interfaces together. We hope to be launching this in October.

I personally find the whole AWin software easy to use once signed in, certainly a lot cleaner compared to Trade Doubler, CJ and Affiliate Future which seems to hate Chrome in particular. Never had any issues although I only tend to use the basic tools (i.e. discount codes, deeplinking, banners, transaction and click reports)
