    Hi all,

I am curious if anyone experiences a large percentage of 3 mobile commissions declined. I figure around 70% to 80% of our commissions with them are declined (totally deleted actually) and I cannot believe that all these are people who did not pass credit checks or did not honour their commitment. If so, they must be the most unlucky network around as we have no such problems with it's competing networks.

Today I decided to stop promoting them as it's a ridiculous situation.

    Hi farang,

    Hope you're well.

The Three programme currently has a de-duping process in place. De-duplication is the process of attributing a sale to one online marketing channel on predefined conditions, these conditions will decide which tracking tag is shown at the confirmation of sale page.

For example, when a merchant runs their programme on two networks, de-duplication is essential to prevent paying for the same sale twice. This can occur when a customer has visited affiliate sites from both networks, and ends up with two affiliate network cookies on their computer. Using automatic de-duplication, the merchant only displays the tracking for the network that last referred the customer. Therefore, only one network receives notification of the sale, thus removing the need to decline duplicate sales manually at the validations stage.

The cause of most sales being rejected on the programme is mostly down to the fact that they have failed de-dupe. You've also mentioned that your sales have been deleted. However, if you go into your reports and click on the Customise Report tab and tick Include Rejected, this will show your sales.

I'm currently the account manager for the Three programme so if you'd like to talk any further or would like me to look into these sales please e-mail me at stefanie.colley@buy.at.

    Many Thanks,

    Stef

    Hi Stef,

Thanks for replying. This post is in no way intended to point fingers at AW or BuyAt. Indeed, we were running 3 Mobile on another network before and got a similar result with 82% rejection rate. Now, considering almost all (if not all) merchants work on the Last Man In cookie basis to award a sale, I find it very hard to believe 3 Mobile have such a high rejection rate based on that system. Indeed, amongst the 200 merchants we promote across various industries, they have the highest rejection rate I ever encountered by tens of percentage points! This is even the case where we promote merchants who have a presence on several networks.

For the record, we are not BIG with 3 Mobile. Indeed the high rejection rate made us reluctant to put much effort into their program. We moved to BuyAt/AW because we prefer your network to any other and we have been live with 3 Mobile for 3 weeks making 3 sales in that time on BuyAt. However, all the three sales have now been rejected which is, as you can imagine very irritating.

yeh and those 3 sales could have been more as well, especially with the new iphone , try and order it and you get an error encouraging u to phone them up

"It appears an error has occurred.

We are aware of this and are working to fix it.
If you are unable to place an order on-line because of this error, you can place the order by calling us on: 0800 358 4268

You must return to the homepage to start again"

So I am not imagining these things then? I wish more people expose these problems. I even just found this post which goes way back to 2008

Same lame excuses, no change. Any more people have similar experiences with 3 Mobile?

    Hi Black Cat,

    Hope you're well.

Are you currently promoting the 3 Mobile programme through buy.at? If so, if you could e-mail me directly on the address below with the sales that have been declined and we can look into these.

Also, it would be great to know how you are currently promoting the programme.

    Many Thanks,

    Stef
