I've just been doing my daily round of accepting/rejecting orders on my programs and have a few that've been sat there for a few days (to be fair, some a bit longer) because of various reasons.
Sometimes it's stock, sometimes a customer requests a later delivery date, sometimes it's a credit card security check, etc.

I was wondering if it would be useful to affiliates if merchants had the option to add a reason why an order hadn't been accepted/rejected yet?

It could be a blank box, as it's not as final an answer as is needed for a rejection reason, but would give the affiliate piece of mind that there's a genuine reason the order has not been accepted/rejected yet.

    Thoughts??

Any further information that can be provided to an affiliate as to why a sale has been delayed is going to be welcomed. Also, it may in some cases help the affiliate to identify issues that are causing delayed sales, and in some way address these on their sites.

Generally I'd say that affiliates like to know what is happening to their sales.
