OK so first of all, I think the functionality from Awin for Merchants to be able to specify a rejection reason is a good idea. The problem is with merchants not using it.

I’m fortunate I guess not to have had many rejections and I understand that it’s a merchant’s prerogative to do this, although I do often wonder what possible negatives there could be to having any half decent site as an affiliate.

At the start of the year I got rejected by Paperchase for a greetings card site. The reason given was:

    " "

Yep, a blank space. Not sure what conclusion I’m supposed to draw from that.

Then today, an art site I run got rejected from Artisanti. Now they only launched on Affwin a week or so ago, so not sure why they are rejecting relevant sites already, but the reason really got my goat:

    "Darwin profile incomplete"

I mean come on, seriously? My profile is 100% complete according to the little checker that was up before Affwin went from the old to new system – it even has a picture of me on it (maybe that was the problem ). But honestly, even if it wasn't, that’s not a reason to reject someone surely?

I would have thought in the long run it would be better for merchants to provide a proper reason rather than have to deal with confused emails and re-applications due to them randomly bashing their keyboard at the "specify rejection reason" stage.

Anyway, just wanted to have a little rant about it; I feel better now

    Hi JonDeals

    I apologise for your frustration.

Please can you PM me with your affiliate ID so we can approach the two merchants in question about these rejections.

    Thanks

I completely agree With this, i tried to get back approved with merchants i stopped working with when i stopped my site, i decided to restart it a few months later, so reapplied to these programs and even though its same domain format same shopping site they rejected me, but they worked with me before !!

From my view i am also finding the stupid rejection notices, especially when i got rejected by zone alarm because i am an affiliate of theirs on affilinet, but as awin is my no1. preffered network i wanted to get approved here.

I run an online shopping site i have categories for everything but yet alot are rejecting me, i see my site as a easy to use site and clean looking so not sure where im going wrong?.

But i agree merchants need to put more effort in to rejection emails.
