Anybody able to help a mini dilemma?

We are currently putting together a site to target foreign students coming into the UK and are planning to suggest they buy certain products before they get here. Would we be able to do this with mobilephone/mobile broadband connections on AffWin and track them using the URL Referencing? Or as the sales are being generated from a foreign IP address (still a UK site) would this not work?

Any help or advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

We want to use the URL Referncing in Transaction reporting to know where our sales are coming from as we expect to use Facebook quite a lot. With this in mind I need to know that this system will pick up foreign IP addresses and show us what URL the sale was generated from.

Yes, the system will pick up foreign IP addresses and you should be able to see the referring URL in your Transactions report from which you should be able to determine where the sale was generated from.

Would this be the same for URL referring for mobile devices such as iPads and mobile phones. We did a test run on this and the referring URL field showed as blank.

Hi Cally,

We can't confirm you that it will always pick up the referring url as it depends on the browser. The only advice I can give you in this stage is to carry out some tests from different devices and see if it works or not.
