Powergen Affiliate Competition


I am pleased to announce a great competition Powergen are running for the affiliate programme on Buy.at. This is how it will work:

There will be a monthly competition starting on 1st August 2004 running for 5 months until the end of December 2004. For each month there will be three prizes

· 1st prize for the affiliate who gets the most switches = £100 cash.
· 2nd prize for the affiliate who gets the next best amount of switches = £50 cash.
· There will be a special prize to the best-improved affiliate who has done exceptionally well for that particular month compared to the previous month = £50 cash.

There will also be an end of year prize for the following that will be decided on 31st December 2004.

· 1st prize to best selling overall affiliate = £2000 cash.
· 2nd prize to next best selling affiliate = £1000 cash.
· 3rd prize will be for the best best-improved affiliate over the last five months. The winner will get £1000 cash.

In order to qualify for the competition each affiliate will have to get a minimum of 3 switches in July 2004. If this doesn’t happen or a new affiliate joins the programme late then in order to qualify for the monthly and overall prizes they will have to get a minimum of 10 switches in a calendar month for any month after July 2004.
Prize money will be attached manually to the winning affiliates account. The existing commission and bonus structure will be paid out on as normal during the running of the competition.
I am hoping all that is pretty clear! Powergen are really up for this so I hope the response will really inject some enthusiasm in to the programme. To cover the costs we have estimated that we need at least 200 extra switches a month on top of the normal set targets. If it is a success then there will be plenty more to give away in future competitions so it really is up to you guys to run with this and make it a success.

I will shortly have a brand new mini site online that will be aimed at the affiliate traffic and be easy for the user to be dropped on to and it will have a positive call to action to get the user to switch to Powergen. This new addition to the programme will be great, as it will help you get more switches. As soon as I have it going I will get it sorted so that all the creative can be linked to it via the Buy.at system.
