    Hi,

What is the difference between LX direct and Littlewoods?

Are LX Direct the high street stores?

Is Littlewoods just a mail order catalogue like a Kays or Freemans?

If they both stock the same lines, who is cheapest?

    Thanks in advance

    Daniel

I've noticed that LX Direct are quite often a lot cheaper than Littlewoods, but the target "audience" is different.

Littlewoods still behaves (as far as customers are concerned) like a traditional home catalogue shop; in other words you don't have to enter your credit card into the web site when you purchase goods - you are sent them, and then invoiced.

Remember the old way of home shopping by catalogue and mail order, before this new-fangled Internet malarkey?

    Thanks,

So which one is the best to promote?

In my mind I would promote the Index (I mean't LX Direct - very confusing!) side of things, as it is on the high street, and if it's cheaper than Littlewoods (catalogues/mail order usually are more costly) then more visitors should convert into sales.

Unless everybody wants to live on credit and pay more for their goods.

    Hi

Depeding obviously on how your going to promote them I would go for a mIx of all 3 to cover the different kinds of customers your going to get to the pages.

If I had to just take one to a desert island it would be Lx Direct - consistant performer and decent converter.

With Christmas coming though all these programs should be rocking soon so a good time to get into it

Hope this answers your question Daniel....

"Littlewoods Online and LXdirect are part of the Littlewoods Home Shopping Group. Littlewoods Online and LXdirect offer different product lines and very competitive pricing and as such should be used together in any campaigns."

That's basically the difference anyway. I work for LEM (Littlewoods online) so if you'd like me to elaborate further about what we do let me know. If you've got any questions about LX let me know and I'll pass it on to the relevant people.

Its also worth mentioning, that Littlewoods via CJ offer a £15 off £25 first time spend.

As far as I know, there is no equivalent of LX Direct.

Please correct me if I am wrong, or if another network also has Littlewoods with £15 off £25 discount on their books.
