Hi Mate
Thats odd as its working super fast for me when I try it
Mal
Hi
Just tried your link to and it went through fine - very fast.
I remember when we used to have this program that hanging pages on occasion came about - could happen now and again but overall their site got brought up ok.
I remember back then it was kind of agreed to take the rough with the smooth as it was such a top converter. I would ideally love it never to happen but its not under my control and so we take the rough with the smooth as you guys do.
As you spot a problem just drop me an email - as I speak to the agency a fair bit it may be we can get someone to look into it a bit more - trouble is whenever we do it always goes through no bother and so as its fairly isolated in the grand scheme of things nothing gets done about it.
I'd say work on earnings per click and conversion and that will keep you right on wether its worth promoting with its foebles.
Thanks
Mal
Nice one you got the first sale :-)

Urm... no thanks! Surely it would be a much better idea to get the bottom of what obviously remains an issue? It can't be that hard to solve, surely?
Jon shoot from the hip why dont you :-)
I think you might be confused slightly on two points
1. Our tracking works fine
2. We dont do ostrich impressions
Ill explain a bit more -
The tracking for the program is fine - the issue is the hanging page syndrome which this program has always had to bear on occasions - if you get through to the site and make a sales its tracked no problem. The issue for the page has been raised time and again but is not resolved and it is also not something buy.at can resolve .
If the problem was ours and i was able to sort it out dont you think I would do that ? You obviously dont and that makes me sad to know.
We will of course raise the issue again with Bclub and try to get it resolved but in the meantime the CPA and conversion make for a good EPC and so we have a choice
Dont run it until the day dot when it finally gets sorted if ever.
Run it with its problems knowing that it is a good money maker for many affiliates.
If i could sort it today of course i would as it would be an even better program but I cant and so we just get on with it .
Ill let you know if we ever manage to get it 100% perfect.

Hi Mal
Didn't mean to be rude, just to the point!![]()
At the end of the day, if I have a user who clicks on a Bclub link, but they don't get transferred successfully to the Bclub site, I consider that to be a failure in tracking.
I appreciate that there are a number of different technical elements involved in the overall process, but a failure to even take the user where they wanted to go is surely the most fundamental failure there can possibly be in a "tracking" process.
I don't know of any other site - affiliate-related or not - that experiences similar "hanging page" issues, so it's clearly something that Bclub should be more concerned about than they appear to be.
If people run it regardless, isn't that going to send the wrong message to Bclub and reduce their motivation to fix it?
I should mention the other obvious issue: it also makes affiliates' sites look poor, because the user presumes (not unreasonably) that the error lies there, rather than at Bclub.
Hi
Your alright Jon I know your direct so I dont take offence thats your way and it gets things out in the open quicker - at least I know what your thinking :-)
I agree with you that its a fundamental thing and that promotion of it in its current state could give the wrong impression and perpetuate the problem.
Its a difficult one as we are not the only affiliate company in the country who would like this program - if we said ok were not running it until its sorted then it would undoubtably go elsewhere and someone else would run it .
These kind of issues are best fought from the inside and believe me when we used to have it we tried and I am sure we will try again but pull it we wouldnt as the politics to doing that would impact us and the links above us agency side and so on.
There is always a bigger picture and we have to play within that and unfortunatley because of that our hands are more tied than if it was our own program on our own network where we had full control.
If the problem meant the program was unprofitable for affiliates then we would have to stop it but if it just means its slightly less profitable then a lot of affils would say dont stop it just try and work at it which is what we do.
We will of course speak at length with the agency and with Britannia about the issue and try and get a conclusion for it but we wont stop the program in the meantime.
Sorry there is no quick fix mate and always good to have these things voiced as it gives us more ammo to get the issue fixed if there is some negative PR.
Thanks
Mal
Understood, thanks. Consider yourself armed.![]()

More ammo: I've been doing some testing and - just like the last time this programme was running - if the link is set to open in a new window, the page will only load 50% of the time.
Jon
Ta Jon
It seems that this is very consistent - another aff showed me this as well.
Ill be getting Paul to have some chats with them tomorrow about it all and we can show them some examples etc.
Thanks
