    Hi

As promised another big brand name merchant has launched with the buy.at affiliate network. I'm pleased to add that this program will have the benefit of the team at Blue Barracuda working with us to ensure affiliates can make the most out of what promises to be a great program.

The 20% commission tier is easily achievable .

Goldsmiths is the largest high quality jewellery retailer in the UK. The company has been trading since 1778, and by the end of 2005 will offer over 170 high street showrooms in the UK.

Having a wide range of classic and contemporary designs to promote, all of exceptional quality and design, with Goldsmiths you are partnering with one the countries most prestigious retailers of jewellery.

    Did you know? …

Goldsmiths designed and made many if the famous sporting trophies and cups, including the FA Cup.

Goldsmiths has the largest distribution network of Omega, Cartier, TAG and Gucci watches.

The Goldsmiths affiliate programme offers one of the highest commission payouts available within this sector. Tiers are as follows:

    £1 - £999 sales per month = 12%

    £1000 - £2499 = 14%

    £2500 - £4999 = 16%

    £5000 - £9999 = 18%

    £10,000+ = 20%

Goldsmiths offers a 30-day returns policy therefore sales will remain in pending for at least 30 days.

While progression through commission levels is initially dependent on monthly gross sales, owing to the possibility of occasional large-value returns (a £5000 ring, for instance), average net sales will be used over time to determine appropriate commission levels.

    Cookie is 90 day

Good luck with this program and keep your eyes peeled for more great programs as the week/month moves on. Were cooking on gas in July

    Thanks

    Mal

OK Mal - you've got me excited on this one.

Will there be a product feed?
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

Doh! Wish I'd known before I bought that £2k watch from Goldsmiths in Newcastle last Friday for a present! Not that I would ever use my own affiliate links for my own purchases mind you *cough*.

    Serioosly though, nice program Mal.

    Cheers!

    Cheers Mal,

As mentioned Goldsmiths has been trading since 1778 and has a huge network of 170 stores across the UK. Having researched this sector and the affiliate programs available I’ve been itching to get this one launched. Great products, great customer service tied in with great commissions and support for affiliates only spells one thing

    Creative
We have a whole host of great looking creative available for you to use. We’ve gone for the clean and refined look combined with some close up product snaps which I believe reflects the brands image and reputation. All banners feature a selection of stylish and exclusive jewellery designs where applicable. We’ve covered the most widely used dimensions but as always if you require something special just drop me a line. Datafeed will be available very shortly.

    Commissions
You’ll be pleased to hear that we’re not holding back on the commissions with this one. The jewellery industry works on relatively high margins and it’s only fair that this is reflected within the commission settings. We have negotiated with Goldsmiths on your behalf and are really pleased to be offering a cracking entry rate of 12% going up to 20% for those who can generate 10k sales per month. That might sound like a tall target for to some but believe me it’s really not. A few quality watches and you’re practically there.

    Your websites
It goes without say that if you are running a jewellery website then this will be a sure fire winner. Other sites and profiles that are just as suitable: Mens/Womens fashion, Special occasion and celebration sites such as Wedding, Engagement, Graduation, Anniversary, Birthday, Christmas etc

    Support
I’ll be acting as the dedicated manager for this one and in a similar fashion to all our programs you can contact us whenever and however you like. If you require any information, technical help, design help… anything… get in touch.

    Quick Stats:
    Goldsmiths Jewellers
    Commission: 12% -20%
    Cookie: 90days
    Deeplinking: Yes
    Keyword Bidding (brand name restrictions)
Returns: 30 Days (available in 170 stores nationwide)

    All the best
    Paul.

    Hi

We aim to please mate :-) I thought you might like this one .

Ill check with paul from BB and see what the time scale is - ideally we all prefer to launch with one ready and waiting but sometimes this is not possible and budgets and expectations wait for no man so I assume this is why its wanted live without one.

Ill update when i get some feedback but I would think Paul from BB will post on here before I get chance as Blue Barracuda are so proactive

    Hi Keith,

Product feed is well underway. We’ve submitted our requirements and standards to Goldsmiths who have promptly come back with all the data and what looks like a good start. I’ll be chatting to our tech guys and combing through the feed to make sure that there’s no rogue html or funny goings on. Once everything’s clear I’ll gladly make it available for all.

When it does go live please let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to see featured and I’ll do my best to make it happen.

    Cheers
    Paul.

Can I just reiterate that brand name bidding is NOT allowed for those running PPC. This also includes variations thereof.

    Cheers

    Hey Guys,

Thanks to all those that have joined the program so far, i couldn't push the approve button fast enough

Just an update on the Datafeed. I have checked all the data and everything is looking nice and clean. We’ve got some nice product images to use so we're almost set to go.

One thing that has occurred to me is that many of the expensive products only have one item in stock. Applying our normal filter would remove many of these products that should really be included. Unless anybody has some real strong objections I’ll filter out products with 1 item in stock providing they have a retail value below a certain value.

Hopefully this way we can seriously reduce the likelihood of goods appearing in the feed and out of stock.

The feed will be scheduled to update itself daily.

    Cheers
    Paul.

Good to see this merchant having an affiliate program

Just a quicky on ppc restrictions taking several basic terms.

Firstly Goldsmiths or the singular Goldsmith is a generic term for an artisan/s who fashions objects of gold. We are seeing exisiting ads going to jewellery shops, therefore it is a generic term within it self.

Taking Goldsmiths & Goldsmith only the approximate number of searches ratio is 66%:33%. Already leakage for visitors searching for brand. Inaddition to the fact that probably no more than 50% would click on the number one listing it it did appear & maybe if lucky 25% for second postion.

Goldsmiths is only number two in Google whilst Goldsmith doesn't appear on the first page in natural search. There are ads appearing for other sites for the latter.

Also Goldsmiths doesn't appear on the first page of natural search for Gold Smith or Gold Smiths. I won't go into keyword phrases & broadmatching for ads appearing with suffixes of Jewellery, Jewellers, Jewelry. The Jewellers etc.

As I say it's just an observation and we look forward to promoting the program.

    Hi

Just got back from a wedding in Scotland to find the program has been getting along nicely . Basket size looks promising so far and thanks to those that have already sent traffic.

    -

QGJ I hear you on a lot of the points you made mate - I have brought up some things with BB and the approach at the moment is to let the program bed in and then go and see the client to discuss exactly how to approach the search through affiliates area to maximise the returns that are there. I'd have liked to start with that but Goldsmiths is new to affiliate marketing so everything at once would be baffling for them .

We will get there in the end and ill be sure to have a chat with you neaer the time to explain some of your comments above to them.

    Thanks

    Mal

    It's no problem Mal,

It won't deter us from promoting the merchant, just an observation.
