As from today I have been asked to manage the Jason Shankey.co.uk affiliate program on Affiliate Window. Many of you will know me from my days at Summit Media on accounts such as Dabs and Powergen.

Okay, I’ll keep this brief as I can. The Jason Shankey program is in pretty good shape and is growing month on month. The core products are unisex Hair care related items. I have been brought in to push it onto the next level and work closely with all the supporting affiliates partners to generate more sales.

I did a complete review of the program a couple of weeks ago and the lack of attention to detail was the only thing letting the program down. The products are good, competitively priced and the web site is easy to use for the user.

The initial changes I have made are:
  • The complicated commission structure has gone and has been replaced with a 5% default, rising to 7% for £1,000 in revenue generated within a 30-day period.
  • New seasonal creative has been made and is all loaded up on AW. This will change accordingly depending on the season or a particular promotion.
  • I have introduced a couple of content units in the static section of the link section. All you need to do is copy paste onto your pages. I will be adding to these over the next few days; if anyone needs specific sizes please let me know.
  • I have also listed the top 20 selling products on the web site for the previous week. This will be updated weekly. It can be found in the static link section and is clearly marked.
  • I want to run a competition next month either to reward the affiliate partners direct or for you guys to use on your sites to reward your customers. I would like some feedback to get your thoughts on the best way to go on this. Please let me know.

Briefly I would like to mention the best selling products on the Jason Shankey web site. The GHD hair straighteners and related products are really good sellers. Being of the age where my hair is getting a little thinner it has been an education learning about hair products! I have researched the market and Jason Shankey is the cheapest on many of the GHD products. The bundle deals are brilliant sellers.
