Leaddos PPC comment is relevant to us.
I can do 5 sales a month while I'm running PPC campaigns but at certain times of the year the profit margins are so tight I prefer to take it easy and wind down my PPC activity. During these periods sales can slow to a trickle but I am still actively promoting the merchant and the site.

I can see both sides here - from a management perspective its frustrating to see publishers misuse a program, from a publishers side (particularly those with broad generic sites) its frustrating to not be allowed to promote a program based on volume. I run a broadband site, most of my merchants get between 10 and 15 sales a month, I've just added NTL so I'm happy to be "trialled" in this way but I must admit that theres a "Virgin" size hole in my results and I would be peeved to see NTL drop into it as well
I have to agree with Mal a bit.
I had some NTL pages up for a long time without updating them and
something like this at least makes me do something about it.
The problem is, I want NTL on my pages but don't particularly want to
push them that hard.
The main reason being the fact that we appear to be sending free traffic to Virgin,
if they sort this out, I dare say more affiliate will be prepared to push them a bit harder.
NTL and Telewest have merged recently. So drop NTL and sign up to Telewest. You (affiliates) have choices too.
As a new affiliate to buy.at (I have added a just few links to see how it goes as most of my effort goes to other networks at the moment), I wonder how would it be if affiliates applied the rule in reverse?

Hi Norton
Thats great to know glad your giving it a try and if you get 1 or 2 sales for them then as said earlier Human Judgment would most likley see you given a thanks for trying and lets see how many sales we can get for April approach.
I wanted a shake up and got one - if people go on to do no sales then I would want a good reason to keep them on board - thanks to those who supplied one. If people do one or two sales then great we can see potential and a foundation to chat further and support further to see if we can grow those 1 or 2 sales.
So in the end we made a call its got a big response good or bad and when the cut off comes we will use judgment to decide whether or not an individual is wanting to promote NTL and has a chance of at least delivering a sale in a reasonable time period.
TJ - noted your comment on Virgin and ill pick that up with them - I had thought about this earlier in the week but have not worked out how technically we can include people without including them on the Virgin program which they are not a part of at the moment.
