    Hello everyone,

Affiliate Window are pleased to announce our latest merchant Times Fantasy Football. Commission is set at 14% so a £5 signup wlll earn you £0.70. 30 day cookie not that you will need it as Saturday is the closing date for the competition.

Below is some copy from the site, if you need anything further from me let me know, I'm trying to get hold of more banner sizes and email creative later today.

"Enter The Fantasy Game competition and you could end the summer a lot richer. If you're finding it hard to cough up for that new season ticket or you just want a load of cash, then this could be the opportunity.

There are a number of ways to win this year. The best way is to come top of one of our two main leagues - the lite league and the pro league. There are separate cash prizes for both leagues, listed below.

As soon as you register your team, that original XI will be recorded in our system. It will be entered into the lite league. Your challenge here is to create the best possible starting XI team from all the players listed in the Premiership. Your background knowledge of new and established players, coupled with your predictions for the coming season will be tested to the full. Pick the right team through genius, or guess the best team by chance and you could be in the money.

You can also steer your team to the top of the league in our pro league. Here, your knowledge of in-form players, tactical switches and management decisions could lead you to the grand prize. "

Click here to join this programme.

    Kind Regards

    Peter

For anyone serious about fantasy football this program should have gone live two weeks go with the season about to start this weekend.

Having played most fantasy football games for a number of years, the experience with The Times, during the world cup, was the poorest with teams stuck in awaiting confirmation ... after waiting for a few days we contacted customer service ... only for customer service to be apathetic saying we would have to wait a few days .. then the tournament starts & we cannot even login, teams & data lost, missing the start of the tournament, thus no point in playing (or deadline had passed to get other teams in)

Going through a few of the threads in the FISO forum

    http://fantasyfootballuk.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=9

There seems to be a few others having problems like refunds for example & poor functionality or gaming enjoyment

Your information is misleading, so is this a four day program? You're suggesting I tell people about this site but your tracking stops Saturday but people on the actual site can sign up until 16th September, persuade me and I'll try and get mine to part with their hard earned and do a league.

The trouble is you're far too late really as most of mine have joined the sun via a non affiliate link and done me out of money whereas I could have made a little back. Also at this late stage, me paying £5 and only attracting 10 people well it aint worth it for £7, I may have been able to get 150 in the league a month back.

It might be alright for the premiership punters as they're yet to kick a ball I think (not sure) whereas the league has played three matches already and the football season is in full swing. This merchant seems ill prepared and is just looking to boost numbers at a late stage, pity really as it could have been good... maybe next year eh?

Thank you all for your feedback. I have passed this on to the Times.

We are delighted to announce that the programme will now be running until the 16th September. Users can still sign up until then although they will suffer from the loss of points as a result of missing the first few games.

Paul - I passed on your comments to our contact there and they were most disappointed to learn of your bad experience. They are forwarding me two free signups which I will pass on to you as soon as I receive them.

If anyone needs any more information or assistance in getting a campaign going for this, don't hesitate to contact me. So far it has been a great success and we thank you all for your support.

    Kind regards

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for your response & passing on the feedback, I haven't checked all my emails yet but haven't noticed any email pertaining to the free sign ups as of yet & the season starts today.

However last night / this morning I went through a lethargic process & created two teams & registered. Website said £5 for two teams normally the 5th team is free) . Immediately after the page Registration 2b of 3 : Account Sign Up , I received a provisional confirmation of entry with our account name & password details on screen. Why it said £0.0 will be deducted from the account when it hadn't reached the credit card details I don't know. (we took print out of this) However, we tried to login again & yet again no success "The username/password you have input is not in our database" .. great .. not .. Also tried another email address which has been registered in a previous season with no success. Upon trying another avenue Search "Lost Id / Password" with two possible email addresses the following message appears Not Found

"The requested URL /timfc06/loginLost.do was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at www.timesfantasyfootball.co.uk Port 80"

No email has yet been received pertaining to any confirmation of entry.

Going through a few of the threads in the FISO forum (The main forum for fantasy footy)

    http://fantasyfootballuk.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=9

There seems to be a few other serious players are having problems like refunds from world cup for example & poor functionality, reduced gaming enjoyment, poor customer service, changing the rules (goal posts) etc.

Out of the main fantasy football games around, unfortunately this was probably the worse one to have an affiliate program.
