Affiliate Window are delighted to announce the launch of The Awin Index. Our latest feature will help compare the performance of different programmes across the Affiliate Window network

    This will enable you to,

    · Compare performance against the network average
    · Compare performance against the sector average
    · Track changes of a programme’s Awin Index over time
    · Sort top performing programmes across the network or by sector
    · Identify and monitor where programmes do well and the impact of changes
    · Highlight programmes that have significantly improved

So, what is the Awin Index?

The Awin Index is a score out of 100, calculated from the merchant’s C.A.V.E. data, indicating the effectiveness of that particular affiliate programme.

C.A.V.E. data is a set of four statistics specific to each affiliate programme.

    · Conversion rate
    · Approval percentage
    · Validation time
    · Earnings per click (epc)

The four statistics that make up the C.A.V.E. data are automatically calculated monthly. The Awin index is updated monthly from the last three months of C.A.V.E. data. A merchant can affect elements of this data independently though the day-to-day management of their programme. Changes to any element of the C.A.V.E. data will result in a change to the Awin Index. Guidance will be given to all merchants to enable them to improve aspects of their programme, increasing their Awin Index and sector ranking, thereby making the programme more attractive to affiliates. Affiliates will be able to immediately access top ranking programmes by sector and understand better, why the programme ranks well.

The changes to a merchants Awin Index can be seen on a graph on the Merchants Information Page. Here you can view the Awin Index and C.A.V.E. data for all programme that have been live for 3 months or more. You will also be able to see the ‘star performing’ programmes and ‘top improving’ programmes on the network. All this information can be accessed though your Affiliate Administration Area.

To learn more about the Awin index please click this link to a PDF or log into your account now to compare the Awin index scores of the merchant you are currently working with.

We trust you will find this a new feature of real benefit when working with new and existing merchants. Please share your thoughts and feedback with us.

    Nice addition

    Well done guys
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

Looks great...some of the conversion rates seem very high, and lots coincidentally on 10%...has something gone wrong somewhere?

Nice work, are the stats calculated based on the performance of the program for all affiliates or just the top performing affiliates as with the old system?

Great to see that everyone thinks it will be of use.

Thanks Graham for the 'heads up', we've found and fixed the problem. It's always the simplest things that are the hardest to find. The data is being crunched now so actual changes via the interface will not occur until late today/early tomorrow.

Mav, the stats now use all affiliates on the programme however we also incorporate Standard Deviation to ensure a better represtation of true data. For those who want to know more about standard deviation here's an informative link.

All your feedback has been greatly appreciated and will be passed on to our developers.

In the graph the blue line is captioned Your Awin Index, but in the PDF it says the blue line is the Merchant's index. I guess this is just a left over from the same graph being shown on the merchant side, but it would probably be clearer if it was retitled.

I think it's not quite there - just seen a merchant with a 100% conversion rate - that can't be right can it???

    Hi all,

Well done to Digital Window on adding this feature.

Not only will it help the affiliates choosing the relevant merchants to promote, but in return, it will show merchants where they need to improve should they want to be in a position to compete with the other players in their sector.

More transparency can only leed to improved affiliate programmes.

    Thanks!!

I like to favour the underdogs, so I've used this tool to promote the merchants with the lowest scores.

Data still seems wrong...many merchants with greater than 10% conversion...do CD WOW really convert at over 25%?
