Guess nobody else has this problem then!!?
Please please, can affiliate window make it clearer what commission level you are actually on for each program and maybe send an email if your tier rate changes up or down.
In an ideal world an XML feed showing the program ID and commission rate would be a winner for us.
Guess nobody else has this problem then!!?
I'll keep you company on this one. I often find it difficult to work out what commission I'm on.
It would be great if they could do an automatic email like TD do when you get moved up (or down)
Do you have products for review on my chocolate reviews or Easter eggs blog?s PM me.
I'd like to see my current commission levels under the 'Merchant Details' box on the Merchant info page along with the tiers for that program e.g.
Current Balance Merchant Details
Merchant ID: 99999
Visit the website
Current Commission: 5% (Tier 1)
Tier 1: 5%
Tier 2: 10% for £3,000 sales
Tier 3: 12% for £7,000 sales
Tier 4: 14% for £15,000 sales
I'm with Matt on this one.
I've formally requested email notification when commision rates change (as it stands now, any merchant could change their commission rate and we wouldn't know without manually checking). Clearly my request has been ignored
The sooner this is fixed, the better.
Cheers, Darren

Hi all,
Just so no one feels they are being ignored (c'mon Darren everyone at AW knows you and you're never ignored)I'm raising this with our CTO as a potential project.
I am going to have to be aware that on one side of the equation affiliates say they don't want too many emails (some claim to not even read them) and on the other hand we have a request for more.
I feel a balance is required that allows us to display current information within the affiliate interface for multiple merchants with indicators for recent changes. Whilst this doesn't have the immediacy of an email update as it requires a daily login to review current status it will also stop you being inundated via email (depending on how many programmes you promote).
What are your thoughts on this? I welcome your feedback as it's for you, so let's try to get it right first time.
Kind Regards
Mark Walters
I'd like to see an email fired out whenever a commission rate is changed (just like how Tradedoubler do it) as an option the affiliate can subscribe to.
Sure, we all would probably agree we get sent too much email. But it is absolutely imperative to me that I know when a commission rate changes, making it an important email that I would have no objection to receiving.
Cheers, Darren

The solution being reviewed will allow affiliates to opt in and receive an email update when a programme commission level:
a) moves up
b) moves down
c) is adjusted by the merchant
It will also include the previous commission, new commission and a summary of the commission structure so the affiliate can gain a snap shot of the next level to aim for.
This will occur automatically when there is a commission change for each merchant the affiliate promotes. We will try to include an identifier in the subject heading such as the MID or programme name to help. These commission based emails will also come from a new email source so you set up email management to either flag them or store them in a designated location.
Currently our developers have another project which is in the final stages of completion. Affiliates will get to hear about it fully on Monday the 5th of February so all will be clear soon.
Once this current project is launched we should be able to apply resource to this issue and I will have an update on progress.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention (I've been ignoring it for ages)
Kind Regards
Mark Walters
Thanks very much, Mark. Your proposal sounds perfect![]()

I thought I would highlight that in the interim affiliates can see what commission level they are currently on within the AW interface. If you click on any merchant name being promoted to access the merchant details page you can see a number of tables mid page. Under the heading 'Commission Groups' the first table shows the standard commission structure, the table beneath this will highlight the actual level they are currently at.
I appreciate that this does not help with informing affiliates when this level changes and I am going to make sure the solution posted previously is integrated as a priority. I just felt it might help others viewing this thread.

Is there any news on this Mark? - I'd personally be keen to get an automated solution coded that can interact with our database to alter commission levels?
Matt, it's on the schedule but the developers are hard at it on an impending project release that has been a few years in the offing.
Once cleared I have been promised developer time to review these and other scheduled items.
My preference is to avoid quick fixes and go for a better overall solution but I know we have to balance that with time scales and the needs of affiliates.
This current project is close to launch, so give me a bit more time and I will update you on the future timelines.

Thanks Mark, have a great weekend.
Matt
Hello all,
Affiliates now have the ability to select whether they want to be emailed whenever there is a Commission Group change for a merchant they promote.
There are two options available:
Affiliates can opt for an email when a change occurs via the payment level adjuster
And/or
When a change is made manually by the merchant or provider.
Affiliates control this option which initially defaults to OFF. By accessing the 'Update Account Details' link from their affiliate account they will see the 2 new pull down options at the bottom of the account details tab.
Please remember to save changes after you enter your preferred settings.
We are still looking to incorporate an automated system as per Matt’s request but this involves more work with the API so is currently still under development.
Kind Regards
Mark Walters
As per the recent commission decrease by next:
http://www.affiliates4u.com/forums/a...any-irony.html
This is a prime example where cashback sites owners MUST have an XML feed where we can automatically change commission and cashback rates within our databases as soon as they are announced automatically without interference by a human.
Its an innovation that in my opinion is quite simple to do technically and would save many hours of affiliate manpower.
Else the end consumer gets a bad experience with the cashback site, the affiliate gets annoyed with the affiliate network, the affiliate gets a support ticket with manpower costs associated, and overall every party is let down with the brand and user experience (as the user will get a lower than expected cashback)
Can we have something please? - If you need further input on what we'd like please do get in touch.
