having has a very steady stream of daily sales from Next - it's surprising that I've not had a sale since the 4th Feb - anyone else noticed a down turn?

    Hi Elaine,

You may have noticed a turndown in sales based on the IP tracking with Affiliate Window. You may have already seen an email from Nicky regarding the IP address tracking?

Basically (long story short) Affiliate Window implemented IP tracking originally that could take into consideration any sales missed by cookies to make sure affiliates didn't miss out on sales if the customer decided to delete their cookies.

However, as it turned out a couple of days ago - quite a few duplicate sales had been coming through which had to be removed. We believe the explanation for this is based on multiple users connected via a single IP address. For example this happens in large office blocks.

We analysed the data and stripped out all sales with no cookie present. The remaining IP tracked sales were then further filtered and only sales with duplicate IPs recorded against the same click were deleted.

This might account for the downturn you've noticed..... but as you've asked the question - I've taken note. I have spoken with the guys at Affiliate Window and asked them to take a look to make absolutely sure.

Leave this with me - I'll work through with AW tomorrow morning to make sure all the angles are covered.

Hope this is all ok (wasn't a short story after all!! )

    Hi,

To give you a performance update for the programme, the stats are still stacking up nicely and the data you're now seeing is reliable.

For this month we're looking at a conversion rate nudging 8% and an EPC of 31p.

Looking at the sector average this is competitive and sets the programme up really well less than a month in as a leading affiliate programme on the network.

Any questions please let Sean or I know.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    HTML Code:
leading affiliate programme on the network.
completely agree - which is why it was so noticeable when the sales stopped.

But I'm happy to report that sales have started coming through again.

    Hi Elaine,

Glad you're back on track (scared me for a second there! )

Let either myself or Kev know if there is anything else you need.

    Hi Guys

Im still trying, but something gone wrong my end, EPC was between £0.30-£1.00 for keywords i was using, now dead at less than 10p for same keywords

Looking at sales figures they has been NOTHING changed my end. Still the same bill from search engines, only getting bugga all from AW in sales.

Something has changed and it is not just the IP tracking !!!

    Hi Nick,

I'll go over this again with AW in the morning. Obviously we've talked about the AW IP tracking (which they just caught the last of today) - the overall tracking on the Next account from a birds-eye veiw seems to be working without an issue... so maybe there is something with your tracking in particular?!

Leave it with me - I'll chase again with AW in the morning and give you a call

    Cheers

There doesn't look to be tracking issues here either, factoring in the large number of false sales being reported before, due to the IP tracking mess!
    Cheers, Darren
